I did something different and went hunting for the first time in the Botswana bush! Typically, when people go hunting, families place orders with the hunters for kudu, antelope, warthogs, wildebeest, and so on. I had a great time on the hunt, and I am excited to go again next year.

We knew our first family safari at Tau Game Lodge would be memorable when we were greeted by zebras. With as our ranger, we received excellent guidance, had plenty of laughs, gained valuable learning experiences, and created family memories.

On this special day, I want to take a moment to honor and celebrate you, my amazing wife and wonderful mother to our children. Your love, strength, and dedication shine brightly every day, and I am grateful for everything you do for our family.

Your role as a mother goes far beyond just being there for our children – you are their mentor, teacher, and source of unwavering support. Your patience, kindness, and wisdom shape our children into the incredible individuals they are becoming, and I am in awe of the love and care you pour into their lives.

Our kids are truly blessed to have you as their mother, and I am beyond grateful to have you as my partner in this journey of parenthood. Your hard work, sacrifice, and endless love do not go unnoticed, and today, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do.

Closing out our Zimbabwe family trip with our sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. We took in breathtaking colors of the sky as the sun reflects off the river! We spotted hippos, crocodiles, and antelope along the bank. We were served a 4 course meal with an open bar, and were able to enjoy the ambiance of the night. Truly a must do!

Carter and Carmen’s first 🚁 flight! This was hands down their favorite part of our Victoria Falls trip, seeing the falls from above is like a part of the experience that just keeps getting better and better.

The kids came up with a few places like the Statue of Liberty 🗽 or the pyramids to see on a helicopter

Ken and I visited Mokolodi Game Reserve, local to Gaborone. Our tour guide cautiously explained to us before our ride, we may not get to see the animals we’re hoping to see because they freely thrive in their natural habitat unprovoked.

Sharing these photos is an appreciation for these incredible animals, their habitat and ultimately the beauty of Botswana 🇧🇼

What's better than spending quality time with family! Yesterday we grabbed our favorite snacks, and headed to Gaborone Dam to explore and relax

We learned that just on the other side of the dam, were crocodile pools that we could book a boat to see, which we’ll be doing soon. Also, fun fact, South Africa borders the other end of the water! If I wasn’t scared a crocodile would jump up, 👀 I would’ve walked the other end!

We can’t wait to come back and explore the area when it’s lush green, everyone says it’s really beautiful and the birdwatching is amazing during that time.

Carmen’s 7th Birthday

We surprised Carmen by celebrating her birthday at the Nashville Zoo! Staying overnight with their Zzzoo Slumber Event! She wants to be a veterinarian and is in love with animals, we thought this would be a great experience for her and us!

Definitely a memorable experience as we set up our tent ⛺️, enjoyed animal shows, played at the jungle gym and ride attractions, we roasted our own hotdogs and made s’mores, the next morning we woke up and was able to walk the zoo.

Happy 7th Birthday to our Carmen, We love you more than words can say. We look forward to watching you grow and bloom! 🎂

Relationships are all about communication and this couple sees the world differently…Together!

A true love story is when these two met, Reggie learned sign language because Andrea is partially deaf.

Learning how to communicate with her to make sure he was catering to the type of communication she preferred, showed how much he cared, whether through lip reading and sign language they formed a bond that would be unbreakable

He showed us that though there’s a learning curve, he remained true to himself, he wanted to love her, he wanted to meet her where she was for the rest of his life.

Your Vic Falls Bucket List 1. Visit an elephant sanctuary, to interact with them responsibly and learn elephant behavior as a means to protect them and their habitats 2. Experience Zimbabwean culture and tradition up close, there’s also the popular Boma Dinner show with 🔥 3. Shown in video IS *NOT DEVIL’s POOL, we didn’t get a chance to swim because the water levels were too high 4.
