A renowned performing artist, Gabriel Modise who is known by the name Phunya Diba Sakristala when on stage performing his gospel music, will tomorrow drop a single track song in a poetry style. Phunya decided to write and recite a poem he dubbed “HEARTBEAT OF THE NATION” which he dedicated to Palesa Molefe (Miss World 2021-Botswana).

Palesa Molefe who is amongst the beauty queens who are aspiring to be the next Miss World 2021 is doing very well so far. She is now in top 8 of the head to head competition.

PRESS RELEASE - HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT TO ATTEND THE MEMORIAL SERVICE OF THE LATE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA, HIS EXCELLENCY DR. JOHN JOSEPH POMBE MAGUFULI

Gaborone, 20th March 2021: The Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation wishes
to inform that His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, President of the
Republic of Botswana, will travel to the United Republic of Tanzania (URT) on 21st March
2021, to attend the memorial service of His Excellency Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.

His Excellency the President, will join other SADC leaders and the people of the United
Republic of Tanzania at the memorial service which will be held on 22nd March 2021, in
Dodoma.

His Excellency the President, will be accompanied by the Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration; Honourable Mr. Dumezweni Meshack Mthimkhulu, and Senior Government Officials.

The President and his delegation, will return to Gaborone on 22nd March 2021.

Legendary Actor Menzi Ngubane dies at age 56.

Menzi Ngubane (born 28 August 1964 in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal) was a South African actor best known for playing the role of Sibusiso Dlomo on the soap opera Generations from 2003 to 2014. Ngubane has also played numerous roles on other South African TV shows, including Yizo Yizo, Ashes to Ashes, Gold Diggers, and Heist. In 2016, he joined the cast of the television drama series Isibaya, playing a taxi firm manager with a dubious past.

Ngubane has also appeared in a number of South African films, including How to Steal 2 Million, alongside John Kani, Terry Pheto and Rapulana Seiphemo. The film won Best Picture at the 2012 African Movie Academy Awards.

The EFF members are out in different towns to shut down Clicks shops. In witbank one of the shops have been petrol bombed and in other towns they are looting and destroying clicks shops.

In one of the statements they released about their intentions, they indicated that the operation will be peaceful and they will be only shutting down the shops. This came after Clicks showed an advert in which ‘they believed’ black people we demeaned.

In other news this afternoon duma fm hosted Neo ex Nata Senior schoolar who was unfolding her sad story about be impregnated by the counselor. She ended up schooling in Maun senior because she was so uncomfortable in her previous school.

Dr Lemogang Kwape declares another Lockdown.

Greater Gaborone will go into Lockdown for 2 weeks with immediate effect from 12 midnight tonight.

Only those who are of essential services will only be allowed to move and have permits to, No permits will be issued for those going outside or coming to greater Gaborone however only those who went outside Gaborone (greater) will be allowed back.

You are advised to sanitize, wash hands, mask up and practice social distancing!
