Say Yes!!!!
Over the past two and half years I have been on a journey of "yes" . It has been exhilarating but it has also been a bit frightening and intimidating sometimes.
I began by saying yes to myself. This was most difficult. Saying yes to my hopes and aspirations required honesty and vulnerability. The first was achievable but oh the latter was one of the most difficult journeys that I faced in personal growth but I had accepted the challenge of saying yes and I was determined to continue on.
Saying yes to presented opportunities was next. Navigating feelings of doubt and imposter syndrome was/is no easy feat but l dug in my heels, refused to entertain those harmful, negative thoughts and continued to say, "Yes and thank you for the opportunity."
Have I mastered the "Yes"? No I have not. I still pause sometimes before I say yes. I still over think sometimes. It is a journey, but I can say that I have not regretted a single yes so far. On this journey I have had experiences that have enriched my life and expanded my perspectives. I have met and interacted with so many wonderful and inspiring people. Chief among those I met was me. I met the me that I didn't have the courage to see or allow to bloom years ago.
As I continue my journey of "YES." I invite you to begin a similar journey if you haven't already. Seize the opportunities that may challenge you but will also bring growth. Allow yourself to become the you that you were purposed to be.
