A Message from The Informal Settlements Unit (ISU)

Hurricane Oscar has passed the Turks and Caicos with no major damage reports. It’s now moving through islands in the southern Bahamas which are under Hurricane warning.

Video Courtesy of Eagle Legal News, this is Hurricane Oscar’s impact on the capital, GRAND TURK. Residents during the Joint Press conference are asked to SHELTER IN PLACE. While there is NO NATIONAL LOCKDOWN, according to Allison Gordon, DDME Director, there is an expectation that residents will wrap up storm preparations and retreat indoors as soon as possible. Hurricane Oscar will impact the TCI throughout tonight.
