The war in Ukraine is an atrocity, not just for those fighting and for the people living in Ukraine, but for all human beings living everywhere. Every bomb that falls on Ukraine is a violent explosion in the collective consciousness of humanity. Every missile launched from lethal weapons represents a frightening disregard for human life that also manifests in life-ending actions in cities and towns near each of us.
War is madness. War is death and destruction. War is human beings behaving like merciless savages. War is the fruit of ignorance.
As we pray for peace, let us also pray for the expansion of human consciousness and the well-being of all nations. Let us invite peace into our hearts and minds each day by turning away from everything that diminishes the inestimable value of human life. Let us act in ways that amplify the energy of peace in our lands, and that raise the vibration of kindness and forgiveness in our neighborhoods. Let us see with new eyes and hear with new ears. Let us be lovers of humanity.
