Sabemos que os probióticos têm sido amplamente estudados como agentes na terapia adjuvante no tratamento da periodontite. Assim, as autoras desta revisão sistemática buscaram validar o uso do probiótico Lactobacillus reuteri no tratamento da doença periodontal, por meio da análise das evidências existentes na literatura.

We know that probiotics have been widely studied as agents in adjuvant therapy in the treatment of periodontitis. Thus, the authors of this systematic review seek to validate the use of the probiotic Lactobacillus reuteri in the treatment of periodontal disease, by analyzing the existing evidence in the literature.

In the past recent days, the population of Rio Grande do Sul has been suffering from the impact of intense raining in the region. The government of the state has stated decree of public calamity for the region. This way, we join the solidarity forces to disseminate the fundraising campaigns of our institution () and our campus (.unesp). Our most profound condolescences go to the families who have lost their beloved ones and our vows of solidarity to the ones who are still suffering with the situation.

Today Brazilian Dental Science opens its space to present the largest science event in Dentistry in Latin America – the 41st annual meeting of the Brazilian Society for Research in Dentistry and the 10th Annual Meeting of the IADR Latin American region. The event will occur September 4th to 7th, 2024 in Campinas – SP.

Na última terça-feira, nosso editor internacional ministrou o "International Meeting", em formato de seminário Interativo, visitando o campus da UNESP em São José dos Campos. Estudantes (de pós-graduação e de graduação) e Professores de diferentes Universidades estiveram no evento também.
O evento abordou 3 temas muito importantes pra prática científica na Odontologia.
O evento foi organizado pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Aplicadas à Saúde Bucal ( ) e pelo Departamento de Diagnóstico e Cirurgia, divisão de Periodontia (.ictunesp ) do ICT-UNESP.
Nós gostaríamos de agradecer ao Professor Marchini pela excelente oportunidade de aprimorar nosso conhecimento. Agradecemos também a todos que estiveram conosco!

Last Tuesday, our international editor held an "International Meeting", in format of an interactive seminar, visiting our UNESP Campus in São José dos Campos. Students (undergraduate and gradute) and Professors from the Universities attended to the event.
The meeting covered 3 very important themes for scientific practice in Dentistry.
The event was organized by the Postgraduate Program in Sciences Applied to Oral Health (CASB) and the Department of Diagnosis and Surgery, Division of Periodontics, at ICT-UNESP.
We would like to thank Professor Marchini for the excellent opportunity to improve our knowledge. We also thank everyone who was with us!
