ABN NEWS was founded in 1924 by Américo Facó as the Brazilian News Agency [Agência Brasileira de Notícias]. It became known as ABN NEWS after a merger with the Agência Americana de Notícias (AAN) in 1928, which was founded in 1922 by Cásper Líbero. Today, ABN NEWS is owned by ABN GROUP.
ABN NEWS is a private and independent company and no is government-funded. Founded in 1924, has covered all the major news events of the past 95 years.
