JBRA Assisted Reproduction is a quarterly English publication of Brazilian Society of Assisted Reproduction. The Journal is the official publication by the Brazilian Society of Assisted Reproduction (SBRA – www.sbra.com.br), the Latin America Network of Assisted Reproduction (REDLARA - www.redlara.com) and Brazilian Association of Embryologists (Pronucleo - www.pronucleo.com.br) aimed at improvin

g the care of infertility patients. Members of each of these Societies are representes on our Editorial Board, and details of their activities are presented in the journal from time to time. It is designated to specialists and researchers in the health area, in particular to gynecologists, andrologists, biologists, urologists and embryologists. Basic and clinical studies in the areas of assisted reproduction, infertility, reproductive genetics, reproductive immunology, andrology, reproductive microbiology, laboratory in assisted reproduction and gynecological endocrinology will be accepted for evaluation in the form of original articles, reviews, update articles and case reports. Publishing any article is free of charge.

La risposta ai trattamenti di fertilizzazione in vito viene influenzata in maniera importante dalla riserva ovarica della paziente. In questo nuovo lavoro, pubblicato su JBRA Assisted Reproduction (Impact Factor: 1.5) grazie ad una collaborazione internazionale e multidisciplinare, abbiamo studiato l'effetto delle Single Nucleotide Variants SYCP2L e TDRD3 sulla riserva ovarica, nell'ottica di poter fornire, in futuro, un approccio farmacogenomico per personalizzare la terapia delle paziente da sottoporre a procreazione medicalmente assistita:

The response to IVF treatments is significantly influenced by the patient's ovarian reserve. In this new work, developed through international and multidisciplinary collaboration and published on JBRA Assisted Reproduction (Impact Factor: 1.5), we studied the effect of the Single Nucleotide Variants SYCP2L and TDRD3 on ovarian reserve aiming, in the future, for a pharmacogenomic approach that may help to customize therapy based on the patient's genome:

Com grande pesar, a Sociedade Brasileira de Reprodução Assistida (SBRA) e toda a sua diretoria receberam a triste notícia do falecimento do amigo e associado, Dr. Selmo Geber, nesta segunda-feira (13) em decorrência de um câncer.⠀
⠀
Selmo foi um dos fundadores da SBRA, presidente entre os anos de 2003 e 2004 e atual membro do nosso Conselho Consultivo. Presidiu o XX Congresso Brasileiro de Reprodução Assistida, em 2016, e VIII Congresso Brasileiro de Reprodução Assistida, em 2004, realizados na cidade de Belo Horizonte/MG, além do II Congresso Brasileiro de Reprodução Assistida, em 1998, na cidade de Ouro Preto/MG.

"Com sua partida, nos deixa uma insubstituível lacuna pessoal e profissional. Muitos amigos por este mundo afora, muita saudade do seu riso largo, inúmeras famílias gratas por ajudar a realizar seus sonhos. Vá em paz, amigo, para um mundo cercado de luz onde sua estrela continuará a brilhar", nas palavras da presidente da SBRA, Dra. Hitomi Nakagawa.
