His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, received Halima Mohamud, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Bahrain (based in Kuwait), at the Authority's headquarters.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cultural cooperation between Bahrain and Kenya, with a particular focus on enhancing cultural and artistic exchanges to further deepen bilateral relations.

The Ministry of Interior marked Bahrain Police Day with a special ceremony attended by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior. The event coincided with the Kingdom’s National Day, commemorating the establishment of the modern Bahraini state by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783 and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.

Bahrain Police Day, celebrated alongside National Day, honors the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah emphasized the ministry’s ongoing efforts to bolster the police force’s capabilities, ensuring the security and stability of Bahrain’s citizens while safeguarding the nation’s achievements. He praised the comprehensive development process led by HM the King, which has fostered political openness, coexistence, and respect, creating a secure and inclusive society.
The Minister highlighted the development of Bahrain’s security framework, focusing on organizational restructuring, leadership development, and building strong community ties to ensure public safety. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Bahrain’s police officers and fallen servicemen, acknowledging their dedication and professionalism.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah expressed gratitude to the officers and their families for their commitment to national service and thanked Bahrain’s citizens for their loyalty and contribution to maintaining security.
The event culminated with a parade showcasing the operational skills of various police units.

Bahrain’s Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa was awarded the Best Arab Minister Award at the Arab Government Excellence Awards ceremony held at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has now joined the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul). This will make it easier for you to share feedback, ask questions, and suggest ideas to improve their services via Tawasul’s official page on the National Portal, bahrain.bh/Tawasul or its mobile app, which is downloadable from bahrain.bh/apps.

The initiative, in coordination with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), enables RHF to bring its key services closer to the people it serves. These include orphan and widow sponsorship, living assistance, medical aid, and marriage support. Citizens can now also reach out to the RHF anytime, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed promptly. A dedicated RHF team will be managing inquiries, resolving issues, and working on suggestions to enhance their humanitarian programs.

Leaders reiterate the kingdom’s commitments at Baku

Bahrain has prominently highlighted its strong commitment to combating climate change at the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The conference, underway in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 15, gathers global leaders and stakeholders to discuss and address critical environmental issues.
Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, participated in a high-level session on the sidelines of COP29. In his remarks, he emphasised the global challenge posed by climate change and the need for collective international efforts to address it. He called on developed countries to take the lead in climate action, stressing the importance of providing enabling resources such as sustainable financing, modern technology transfer, and capacity building to support developing nations in achieving their climate goals.

(Alba)’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali congratulated the first batch of the Company’s employees who graduated from a Top-Up Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering programme held in cooperation with Bahrain Polytechnic, a leading institution of applied higher education in Bahrain.

Alba employees were among the graduates honoured at the ceremony held under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on 19 November 2024 at the Bahrain National Theatre. Today, we bid farewell to a towering figure in Bahrain’s corporate and social spheres, Farouk Almoayyed, who passed away at the age of 80 due to medical complications.
Born in 1944, Mr. Almoayyed was a visionary businessman who shaped Bahrain's economic landscape through his leadership in some of the nation’s most prominent companies. His unwavering commitment to excellence, paired with his dedication to the welfare of the community, earned him admiration and respect far and wide.

As a philanthropist, Mr. Almoayyed believed in giving back to society, leaving behind a legacy of generosity that will forever resonate within Bahrain. His mentorship and guidance inspired countless individuals, laying a foundation for innovation and growth across various industries.

At Bahrain This Week, we were honored to have interviewed Mr. Almoayyed in one of our editions, an experience that further underscored his wisdom and humility.
