Spats are now fitted. They have a significant effect on the handling characteristics of the jab. Hands off (and feet) causes a slight imbalance that requires left rudder to correct. Under bank tendency on left turns also.

This was not unexpected and we will experiment with trims.

I think the plane looks much better with them fitted and a bonus will be not having to clean the mud from the underside of the wings.
