Had the pleasure of tagging along with a co worker who has become a great friend! We’ve had a pretty mild winter so far this year which makes for some interesting LATE JANUARY fishing opportunities. Cold snowy and miserable but completely worth it! Thanks for sharing the boat and the memories with me Dakota!

Episode 8 is LIVE! I had a great chat with Wesley Bouska from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Wes works as a fish biologist and his main focus is silver carp in the Upper Mississippi River. He gave some awesome insight into the impacts these fish have and what is being done to study these fish and control the spread. Be sure to check it out!

I have an awesome guest lined up for this week. I’ll be talking with Wes Bouska who’s a biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service out of La Crosse. His episode will drop Friday instead of the usual Wednesday. His expertise is based more on invasive species. Please let me know if you guys have any questions you would like answered! I’ll be sending him talking points tomorrow morning to make sure he and I both have time to prepare. Looking forward to getting some awesome in depth info on the river!

This weekend was one for the books! First annual white bass rut trip with the boys was a big success. We caught 117 on Friday and spent Saturday chasing some cats and being lazy. Cards, beer, fishing, food, and the best friends a guy could ask for. We did a podcast recap on Saturday night and it’s definitely interesting 😂 that’ll drop later this week

Man what an awesome spring day! Managed to bag my first ever turkey at 1pm on public land! And then managed to find my first and second shed antler late this afternoon! Thanks so much to .thomas for helping me out today. Literally couldn’t have done it without you. We put on some miles and covered a ton of ground. Hopefully you can bag your bird in the morning

Little late posting but… we had a great hunt Saturday! My buddy Tom got his first goose! His friend Jolynn shot her first wood duck! Bowie retrieved the 3 ducks I sent her after and helped track down a cripple in the brush! Shared the pond with another group of 6 and they shot 11! I think wood ducks are going to be winding down here real soon. We’ll see if we can find a couple more after this 5 day season closure!

Just a picture of a proud pup and her first duck retrieve! Took Bowie on her first duck hunt and she did great. Unfortunately we were off the X by about 60 yards today. Still managed one and Bowie did a great job on the retrieve! Can’t wait to see this pup reach her full potential!
