University of Iowa's Indian Student Alliance proudly presents its South Asian A'Cappella competition, Gathe Raho. This is an elite competition challenging teams from across the nation to produce creative, unique medleys, blending Hindi songs from a wide array of exhilarating Bollywood music with English songs from classic to trending American pop. Gathe Raho is a phenomenal performance of the top

selected seven South Asian A'Cappella teams that will competing for a total of $1750 in prize money.

1st place - $1000
2nd place - $500
3rd place - $250

On March 6th, 2021 the Indian Student Alliance will host the 13th annual Gathe Raho virtually on YouTube.

Our Story

The University of Iowa's Indian Student Alliance proudly presents its South Asian A'Cappella competition, Gathe Raho. This is an elite competition challenging teams from across the nation to produce creative, unique medleys, blending Hindi songs from a wide array of exhilarating Bollywood music with English songs from classic to trending American pop. Gathe Raho is a phenomenal performance of the top selected seven South Asian A'Cappella teams that will competing for a total of $3250 in prize money. 1st place - $2000 2nd place - $1000 3rd place - $250 On February 23rd, 2019, the Indian Student Alliance will host the 11th annual Gathe Raho at the historic Englert Theater in Iowa City.
