This is the solo to “Phoenix vs The Dragon!” by Rocket Queen Riot! Little backstory on the name: I grew up in East Tennessee, right on the North Carolina border. And if you follow my other account @phoenix_xiii_photos you know that I love cars and that I used to drive Firebirds before i got my Subaru (I never had a Trans Am unfortunately, maybe one day if I get rich off of music 😂). Anyway as most car nerds know, East TN is home to US 129, aka “The Dragon”. It’s a famous touring road with 318 curves in 11 miles. The first car I ever took up there was my Firebird, or a “Phoenix”... I’m sure you’re starting to see some connections now. There are tons of curvy roads like that back home that I would drive and blast metal on the radio, and when it came time to name this song I knew there was only one option.
