I decided I want to modify my 7-string multiscale strat. It wasn't getting enough use live and in recordings. The idea to have a high A string didn't work out so it's strung as a normal 7-string and for that a single coil bridge pickup was not the best option.
So I modded a dimarzio d-activator to make a slanted humbucker and I'm going to tweak the pickup setup a bit.
More to come.

6 out of 7 necks in the current run have been fretted. (The last one is way behind, waiting for me to summon the courage to bend wooden headstock binding, so the fretboard is not even glued on).

The ovangkol one at the top is going to final sanding soon, one tele is next up for fret levelling and dressing, the rest are waiting for their turn.

DIY shielding paint:
Time has come to shield the cavities in a few of the current builds, and I discovered that the stewmac paint went all dry on me (again). So this time, instead of spending another 50 eur, I decided to try and mix my own. I have some acrylic paint that I bought to paint the insides of the JEM tree-of-life inlay, I mix that 1:1 with graphite powder, thinning the paint with 50% water first. 2g paint + 3g water + 2g graphite coats all cavities on one guitar.
Not bad.
