I walked the stage on December 17, 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Communications and a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish. I chose to get my education in Broadcasting because I have a strong passion for talking to people, entertainment, music and news. Throughout my time at WCU I was able to take numerous courses that were hands on with television and radio production, social media producing, news
reporting, journalism, photo journalism, and web production. During my last semester of school, I was able to get some hand on experience with professional news writing, interviewing, editing, and publishing news stories through being a news intern for a local radio station, 540- WRGC The River, in Sylva, NC. Currently residing in Charlotte, NC I have had the opportunity to be a host for WYTV7 Christians Broadcast Network, where I have been able to live broadcast once a week for the radio station. I decided to pursue a second Bachelors in Spanish because I love the Spanish culture and I love learning the language. I was able to spend the summer of 2015 studying abroad in Valencia, Spain, which opened my eyes to a whole new world. My goal is to one day become fluent in the Spanish language and use it to help me as a broadcaster in the future!
