Award of $520,000 in Grants from Templeton Religion Trust Fuels Global Documentary Film Series Exploring Muslim and Jewish Religious Thinkers.
[Seattle, WA] - In an exciting development for global documentary filmmaking, the film production company UNTAMED has been awarded two grants totaling $520,000 from the Templeton Religion Trust.
These grants are a catalyst for two global film series, offering a deep dive into the lives and work of five Muslim and five Jewish religious thinkers.
The films will expand upon the existing "AT THE THRESHOLD" film series on Christian theologians at www.atthethreshold.com.
This growing series of films aims to foster mutual respect, promote interfaith understanding, and ultimately contribute to building bridges among diverse communities worldwide.
Visually immersive, poetic, and global in scale, AT THE THRESHOLD invites viewers into a conversation about life and its limits which is as vibrant as it is challenging. Each film is an intimate and revelatory glimpse into the private and public experiences of some of the world's most widely respected scholars and religious thinkers, harmonizing their influential work with the deeply personal experiences that have shaped who they are and what they care about most deeply.
Founded by Sean Dimond and John Harrison, UNTAMED is an international documentary production company that produces human-centered and emotionally true documentaries. They pursue stories of spiritual and narrative depth with a bias for hope, risk, and redemption.
The Templeton Religion Trust's generous funding represents a significant step forward in the journey toward a more interconnected, empathetic, and engaged global society.
