"Día de los Mu***os acknowledges the symbiotic relationship between life and death. El día de Los Mu***os is celebrated on November 1st and November 2nd, in which the spirits of the dead are believed to return home and spend time with their relatives on these two days. To welcome them, the family build altars in their honor. These altars have a series of different components that vary from one culture to another that mostly include yellow marigolds, candles, photos of the deceased ones, papel picado or cut tissue-paper designs, as well as food and beverages offerings for the dead." 1) Start at Fullerton Downtown Plaza at 6:30 PM.
2) Ride east on Wilshire, which is Fullerton's "Bike Boulevard."
3) Take Victoria north to Dorothy, then ride east to the CSU Fullerton campus.
4) Ride north through the campus, through Craig Park, north on Associated Road.
5) Ride west down Rolling Hills and through the residential areas: north on Maple, west on Laurel, north on Adler, north on Magnolia, east on Elm, north on Sycamore.
6) Cross Imperial. Turn east on Birch, north on Poplar.
7) Take the Tracks at Brea all the way east to Birch.
8) Turn west on Birch. Head back down south on Associated, back through Craig Park, and back to the Downtown Fullerton Plaza.

Total distance: About 15 miles.

Optional add-on: Stop at Bootlegger's Brewery for some beers. It's a great brewery about half a mile west of the Downtown Fullerton Plaza. 130 S Highland Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832. They don't have bike parking, but they have an outdoor patio, and they tend to be OK with keeping bikes within view of your seat.

Important notes:
Helmet, front lights, AND rear lights are REQUIRED for this ride. As this will be an evening/nighttime ride, you will not be allowed to join if you don't have working lights and a helmet.
This ride will involve roads. You must be comfortable riding in mixed traffic!
Bring bike locks if you want to stop at Bootlegger's (you're welcome to leave them at my place, which is not far from our starting point). Everyone is responsible for their own bike's security.
We will wait for stragglers! This is meant to be a leisurely, fun bike ride welcome to all.
