Today we celebrate the Birthday and living legacy of the Legendary Shyheim “The Rugged Child” as he steps onto Bars & Guitars with a powerful performance and a powerful mission. Fresh off our live show the night before at Municipal in Oceanside, California, we had to link up to film the live Acoustic performance of his Iconic track "Manchild", the first of several acoustic hip hop sessions—plus a full in-depth interview coming soon. This was a ridiculously solid session with the Legendary Daz Dillinger, performing the Track "I dont like to Dream About getting Paid" off the Original Iconic Album "Dogg Food" which JUST turned 30🔊🔊🔊 and to keep it 💯 I came prepared with something completely different with another song in mind, but this groove demanded our attention and we just matched this track to it and flipped the whole thing to a bop on the spot. What can I say, If it aint in you, then its gonna end up on you🫡

To celebrate the Iconic Album "Dogg Food" turning 30🔊, Bars & Guitars presents an exclusive acoustic remix of the Dogg Pound classic “I Don’t Like to Dream About Getting Paid” — featuring the legendary Daz Dillinger in his signature West Coast gangster rap style, and Ross May on the acoustic guitar and beatbox.

A tribute to timeless energy and influence of the DPG brotherhood, and original West Coast sound — with respect to the late Nate Dogg, whose unforgettable hook made the original a classic.
