Alot more medication than this arrived. Tash was prescribed ovaleap and ganirelix plus her trigger shots. Medication has to be paid for before baseline scan. (It also arrives prior to baseline scan) it felt absolutely amazing to get the meds as it really felt like we were moving forward with our plans.
I don't think we've mentioned before, but we are doing reciprocal IVF/shared motherhood. So, Tash is having an egg collection to create embryos to be frozen for Sarah to use at a later date as she will be carrying Sarah's embryo first. Tasha has a low AMH so wanted to create embryos before we go on to do Sarah's egg collection.

We'll be honest, we'd looked at donors way before we were ever ready to purchase but when we initially went to a clinic in 2020 we would occasionally have a look at donors, which i think helped us when it came to purchasing as we had an idea of websites and what we wanted from a donor.
It is such a surreal experience, the ease of popping online and adding it to your basket before checking out is nothing dissimilar to doing your amazon ordering or your tesco shop BUT the reality is, it is such a huge decision (atleast for us). We spent hours reading online profiles from multiple websites before narrowing it down and eventually deciding on our donor. Then, paperwork had to be completed and ofcourse the large bill on checkout. We bought 2 vials so we could use the same donor for us both. Tash is normally impulsive but before clicking that checkout button she must have asked 'are we sure' 50 times🤣

Harlech castle in the sunshine.
Tasha ended up buying a hat for her safari fancy dress in a little tourist shop right by the castle but the sun was bright and the weather was beautiful so she ended up just wearing it anyway🤣
It was abit of a challenge getting the van up the steep and very narrow street to the castle but we made it!

The start of our journey to parenthood.
In all honesty, this journey started a while ago. We first went to a clinic in 2020 but decided it wasn't the clinic for us, so looked for another. We decided on our clinic last year and we actually had our consultations in December 2022. We've had many curveballs on this journey so far, butttt we are finally getting somewhere!

Clywedog Reservoir
Another beautiful stop on our Welsh road trip. Located in Powys not for from where we go married.
This man-made lake surrounded by picturesque hills and woodlands. It was created in the late 1960s to supply water to the West Midlands.
The dam that created the reservoir is an impressive sight, and the walking trails around the area offer stunning views of the water and its surroundings. As we arrived the rain started to pour, so it was a quick pit stop.

Have you been on a boat trip where it absolutely pours with rain or have you been lucky and had sunshine?
Boat trip in Beaumaris to puffin island and down the menai strait.
It absolutely HAMMERED down and we were on a 2 hour boat trip. Sarah had her
on so stayed toastie warm and dry. I, on the other hand, had a pair of legging shorts, tshirt and i did have a coat..with a hood but my word i did not stay dry or toastie warm BUT we didn't let it dampen our day. Afterwards we met up with Sarahs sister, fiancé and finance's mum for a stroll around the shops and some food.

Swallow Falls in North Wales is a hidden gem worth exploring.
You could almost miss the turning if you aren't paying attention.
You do have to pay for entry and it costs £2 per person, you can pay by contactless or coins! The cascading water was so peaceful.

This was Tashas first butlins big weekender and probably not the last.

We did fancy dress for 2 nights. The first was each wearing a shirt with someone else in the groups face on, 2nd was animals, although tash dressed as the safari keeper/guide. What would you dress up as?

We absolutely loved visiting Newborough forest/beach and Llanddwyn island - our campsite was just a few minutes drive away, we literally took a left out of the site and it was pretty much straight until we got to the forest. It was such a unique and beautiful place - forest, beach an island and Snowdonia in the background - magical.

📍Portmeirion.
We've wanted to visit here for quite some time and they recently (well last year...i think) opened up the motorhome/campervan site which is on site so we decided to take the opportunity to stay here overnight.
It was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip but it did include entry into Portmeirion - even afterhours, which was lovely.

Built by a Welsh architect from 1925 - 1973. It gives Italian village vibes and is beautiful.

This Monday doesn't seem too bad as it is a short work week for us this week. Sarah went to work last night and comes home tomorrow, and Tash is in Mon- Wed. Then, we are both off work on annual leave.
We'll be spending time with friends and family and going on our first proper road trip in the van as we travel North Wales, any tips welcome!

We ate so much good food, danced and enjoyed live music ( was incredible), listened to some inspirational speakers/activists, saw Romesh Ranganathan, spent way too much money at the stalls, met insta pals and made new pals and got new tattoos!! It was honestly a dream weekend.

Cardiff Bay Food & Drink Festival 2023🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
If you haven't seen the reel we posted yesterday (go check it out) we went to the Cardiff bay food and drink festival and also had a little trip to Homesense where we spent a few ££s. We somehow managed to dodge the rain, too, as whenever it hammered down, we were indoors.

Have you been to a lavender field before?
We spent yesterday going to a lavender field, it was a lovely day out as we took a picnic and they also had some live music.
It was pretty windy, so we have a lot of photos with hair slapping across our face🤣 ended up leaning Sarahs phone against our bag to get this one.

So we are 100% totally obsessed with our boy and we have a question to ask. Would you get your dog a doggy pram? (Even if it's a hypothetical dog) 🤣 so, we both always thought no, but recently Tash has be thinking it could be a good idea for when we are travelling as it will give Obi a safe space to chill (he's a rescue and can get nervous/overwhlemed) and protection from the sun etc. Sarah is on the 'okay if you're pushing it' train🤣

What an absolutely fantastic day at yesterday. The weather was glorious, the company perfect and the event full of so much fun, laughter and love.
We love pride for so many reasons but to be in a setting surrounded by thousands of likeminded humans is such a beautiful feeling. Being able to connect with other individuals is powerful.

Social media has it's flaws but we love it because we are able to connect with so many people.

Whilst in Türkiye we made the most of our time and done so many excursions. Including a jeep safari, which was so much fun, who wants to see a reel of the day? We visited several different locations and had a giant water pistol fight with all the other jeeps, hence the looking slightly dishevelled looks🤣 honestly, we were drenched!!

One of our favourite feelings is standing on a balcony abroad ready to go exploring 🌞
Unfortunately, being a same s*x couple for us means googling 'LGBTQ+ Laws in (insert place name) before we go/book. This is something we choose to do and we are sure many others have too, have you done this?
This is why pride is so important. This is why being an active ally is important.
We feel blessed to live where we do but the UK still has a long way to go.

Pride month isn't all glitter and rainbows and is still very much a protest. This month is about continuing to raise awareness of the inequalities and injustices that LGBTQIA+ people face.
As a same s*x couple we often here the 'you must be sisters' question, have to google countries before we visit and be mindful of showing affection in unknown locations plus so much more.
We can't wait to see all of the pride🏳️‍🌈 goodness flood our social media this month and all months ❤️

We had a very early start this day, we were picked up from our hotel at 1:30AM😐
We decided to book a trip to Pamukkale (also known as the cotton castle) BUT also do a sunrise hot air balloon ride!!! Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to do the hot air balloon but we still got to go to explore the area and go to the world heritage site. Tash took a dip in the Cleopatra pool and we took a stroll in the travertine hot springs. It was so beautiful and we absolutely loved exploring the history of the site!

We fly home today!🛩
Feel like we need a holiday to recover from the holiday🤣 when we come away we always tell ourselves 'we'll have some chill days' but it NEVER happens. When we visit a new place there is always so much to see and do we end up out everyday doing something. Even today we've booked a private boat trip for the day which will be the most relaxed day we've had! How do you like to spend your holidays, chilling by the pool, out and about, a mix, other?

We love these lighter evenings. Getting home from work and being able to take Obi for his evening walk whilst it's still daylight outside is just lush. (Although it's still pretty windy..if you couldn't tell by the photo🤣)
Looking forward to the summer months as we have some festivals/holidays and various things planned.

Wet and windy walks with Obi! We've had a lovely day. Tash is battling day 4 of a headache/migraine though but we still managed to get out today. We spent some time with family before heading to the shops and taking Obi for walks. Chilled evening full of cuddles.
Any recommendations for good series/films are appreciated!

We had a lovely bank holiday Monday spent with family and friends. Tash was back in work today (4 day week🥳) and Sarah is back in tomorrow but another bank holiday is around the corner and we will actually get to spend most of it together, time to get some plans in place!

Coming out can be so difficult and everyone will have a different journey. Sarah and I both had different experiences, but for the most part our family and friends have been nothing but supportive.

Growing up, there was very little in the media around positive le***an relationships. We both believe if we had seen more whilst growing up it would have helped us immensly. We set this page up to share our story, our travels and journey to parenthood. We have loved connecting with so many other le***an (and all LGBTQIA+) couples from around the world, You are all wonderful for sharing your stories and normalizing same-s*x relationships, YOU CHAMPIONS💚
