📍udaigiricaves
Situated on a small hill, these caves feature rock cut caves and statues from the Chandragupta 2 era that is the 5th Century CE.
These caves feature statues of Hindu and Jain statues. One Ganesha and one Vishnu rock cut statues which are found here are said to be one of the oldest statues in the world.
This cave also features Varaha Dev protecting mother earth from Rakshasa, Chandragupta 2, Brahma Dev, Shiva and many more rock cuts from that era.

Start exploring from the left side of the caves after entering from the main gate as all the rock cut caves are present there.

Other important caves include Hathi Gumpha, Ananta Gumpha, Ganesha Gumpha, Jaya Vijaya Gumpha, Mancapuri Gumpha, Bagha/Byaghra/Vyaghra Gumpha and Sarpa Gumpha. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has listed that Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves in the list of "Must See" Indian Heritage.

Sanchi is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa, on a hilltop at Sanchi Town in Raisen District of the State of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located, about 23 kilometers from Raisen town, district headquarter and 46 kilometres (29 mi) north-east of Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh.

The Great Stupa at Sanchi is one of the oldest stone structures in India, and an important monument of Indian Architecture.[1] It was originally commissioned by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka the Great in the 3rd century BCE.
