My sweet little Gucci 🐾💔
It’s taken me a while to figure out how to express my feelings towards losing my best friend. My cuddle buddy. My chameleon-eyed puff of derpy joy.
He’s left so soon but made such an impact in his short time with us. Gucci’s almost six years with us taught me how to love and care for something bigger than myself. He taught me that when life is complicated and messy; that there is simple and pure joy that can always be found.
Between the genetic issues and illness that Gucci suffered during his lifetime, I know he was always in some level of physical pain. Gucci put on a happy demeanor through it all. Through the exhaustion and the stress on his crippled body, he found ways to bring boundless joy to everyone he came in contact with.
He ran, jumped and gave licks of love until he just couldn’t anymore.
I love you Gucci. I’m missing you so much.
I’ve never had any desire to get a tattoo until I related my messed up collarbone that I broke nearly 12 years ago to his twisted little ankles and legs. Similar to how this break doesn’t bother me anymore, neither do his little legs. Despite how messed up it looks, they do not and cannot hurt us anymore.
Always remember, it’s “all gucci” even when the times get tough.
I’ll see you next time little buddy 💔🥹
