Howdy Facebook! We’ve been gone for most of summer as my real life career gets super busy at this time of year, but as things are winding down, we’re back to the content creation! First up is a quick channel and hobby update !

So summer has been incredibly busy with work (that’s seasonal jobs for ya), but as it winds down we can finally get back to work on the channel. Next batrep is basically done, just waiting on a few lines of voice over, so I’ve finally climbed back onto that hobby horse. I’ve not held a brush in ages! Feeling slightly overwhelmed with all the potential models projects so decided to get back to it with a single model so I can get a sense of accomplishment! Here is my work in process of Lord Torquemada Coteaz of the . Always loved this model as a kid, finally got around to buying him (alas in fine cast), last year. Time to get him painted !

I’m sorry we haven’t posted in a while. We’ve been through some major life changes recently, some fantastic and others devastating. Tonight, the world lost a little star. Ricky, our rescue conure passed away tonight. We took him on after his previous owner passed and we’re able to fix a lot of issues including the chronic pain he suffered from an old injury. But unfortunately he was just too old and he died today from complications from having a stroke. Anyone who has owned a conure or any parrot knows that losing one isn’t like losing family, it *is* losing family. He was an inspiration to us as well as the rest of our flock with how tough and brave he was. It feels terrible hash-tagging this, but I want people to know that he was loved and that he mattered.

Managed to recently finish a test model for the awesome new Von Ryan Leapers. I’m a huge fan of , particularly their infiltration creatures like the and so the Von Ryan’s Leapers are probably my favorite of the new models.

We’ve been a bit quiet recently because we’ve been hard at work in the background getting the groundwork done for some 40k content on the channel. Yesterday for the first time we played several games of 10th edition to familiarize ourselves with the rules and had a great time. Very strong first impressions of the . Looking forward to exploring this edition further!

That box is a LOT of to paint as I was a bit daunted by the idea of painting 40 similar models, but the kit plus the color scheme were a joy to paint. Easily the most fun I’ve had painting an army in a long time.

Making some more progress on my consul champion for my army for the . Spending a bit more time on him as a palette cleanser from the block of 15 tactical I recently finished. I’m trying to be disciplined with my approach to this force, spending more time on characters like this one while painting line troopers to a good, but much simpler standard.

This teams plays incredibly thematically on the tabletop, especially in games where honestly they’re probably too good! A slight tune down wouldn’t be amiss.
