LEGACIES SEGMENT: COACH EDITION

POST IS FOR REAL BASKETBALL DEBATERS WHO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

Lebron and MJ are looked at as the top 2 players in nba history. Lets take a look at how each of them change a coaches legacy with one move.

Phil jackson was an assistant coach with the bulls that Jerry Krause loved(at first). The bulls had made the ecf the year prior to him being the head coach and got back to the ecf his first year coaching. In Phil jackson second season the Chicago bulls won the nba title and went on to win 3 straight. After the 3rd championship, MJ retired and the bulls went on to win 55 games and took the NEW YORK KNICKS to 7 games in the ECSF. The next year the bulls weren't that good and was in danger in missing the playoffs. The bulls were 31-34 when Mj decided to come back. They ended up climbing to the 5th seed but losing to the Orlando magic in the ecsf. The very next year the bulls won 72 games and the title.. ended up winning 3 straight titles. After that Phil would eventually become the coach of a real good Lakers team that he won 5 titles with....

Would Phil won 8 more championships if mj would have stayed retired??? Would the bulls have eventually traded pippen???? Does Phil jackson have the same legacy???

Erick spolestra was a young coach when lebron came to Miami. He literally worked his way from the bottom. Before lebron got there miami was knocked out of the first round. Lebron james went to Miami along with Chris bosh and the heat ended up going to 4 straight finals and winning 2. Spolestra was on his way to becoming a legendary coach. The unexpected happens tho. Lebron leaves Miami to go back to Cleveland. The heat missed the playoffs the next year mainly because bosh wasn't able to play a good chunk of the season. But made it to the second round the next season. Eventually a few years later making the finals with Jimmy butler and bam. Spolestra proved to be a real good coach but

Would spolestra be look at as legendary if lebron stays and they win more titles???

Lakers vs pacers: 2000 nba finals game 4

People in the group always talk about how shaq carried kobe for the first 3 rings... im hear to tell you that they carried each other. Kobe bryant only play 8 mins in game 2 of the 2000 nba finals and missed all of game 3(Lakers lost). Lakers had a 2-1 finals lead with game 4 and 5 to be played in Indiana... in game 4 kobe bryant had a real good game... hitting long jumpers in Reggie Miller and Mark Jackson face from the top of the key .... with over 3 mins left to go in overtime shaq fouled out with the Lakers up 111 to 110... then heroic 21 year old kobe bryant comes to the rescue... first he hits a long jumper... next possession hits another long jumper then gets a block... and with the Lakers up 1 with under 10 seconds left he tips in a miss shot.. kobe ended the game with 28 points on 50 percent shooting 5 assist 2 blocks and 1 steal giving the Lakers the commanding 3-1 lead in route to the Lakers 1 championship in the kobe/shaq era
