Meet 9-year-old Marina from Yemen.

“The hardest thing for me is coming to school on an empty stomach. I can’t concentrate in class and I can’t play with my friends. When they provide me with a meal, my activity increases, and I often achieve the highest rank in school.”

The World Food Programme provides school children with packed lunches containing a sandwich, vegetables and fruit. For most of these children, this provided food is their only regular meal. This program provides children with nutritious food and encourages school enrolment.
