We are republishing stories about a boy called Only by Charles Maclean, at the request of his son, Lachlan.
Only McFew lived off the coast of Scotland. His best friend was his dog Chips and together they found themselves involved in some unusual adventures. It might not have seemed it at the time, but things always seemed to turn out in Only's favour, which might have had something to do with the lucky stone that he always carried with him.

THE ROAD TO WATERLOO: A CONCISE HISTORY oF THE 1815 CAMPAIGN by Alasdair White
An excellent potted summary of not just the battle of Waterloo but the build up to it, including the battles of Quatre Bras and Ligny two days beforehand. Alasdair also dispels a few myths, such as the idea that this was predominantly a British victory when there were large numbers of Dutch/Belgian and German troops in action as well. A very good read indeed.
