আজ রোববার সকাল (১ জানুয়ারি ২০২৩) ১০টা, ছাত্রীদের যৌন নিপীড়নের অভিযোগে চট্টগ্রাম নগরের চকবাজারের কাপাসগোলা সিটি করপোরেশন বালিকা উচ্চবিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক মো. আলাউদ্দিনকে অবরুদ্ধ করে বিক্ষোভ করেছে শিক্ষার্থী ও তাদের অভিভাবকেরা।

পরে আন্দোলনের মুখে তাকে বরখাস্ত করার ঘোষণা দেন সিটি করপোরেশনের চকবাজার ওয়ার্ড কাউন্সিলর নুরুল মোস্তফা টিনু।

⚠️GLTS TV Awareness News: Cyclone Sitrang

Cyclone Sitrang is approaching today on 23rd due to which it is raining in various districts. Cyclone Sitrang will hit Bangladesh on 24th. It is expected that the cyclone will hit Sandeep. There is danger of damage in 19 districts due to cyclone. Storm surges may reach three to five feet.

Apart from Bangladesh, some other coastal districts including West Bengal of India will be affected by the storm.

🆘Actions to be taken against Cyclone Sitrang:

1. Storm surge and heavy rains are likely to occur in coastal areas under the influence of cyclones. Heavy rainfall can cause landslides and flash floods. So everyone prepare to stay safe.

2. Low-lying coastal areas may be inundated with higher-than-normal tides when a cyclone hits. Residents in coastal areas should move to shelters. In this case, the elderly, disabled, children and pregnant women should be sent first. When going to the shelter, keep torch light, candles with matches, dry food and clean water with you.

3. Follow danger signals issued at ports. Keep all fishing boats and trawlers at sea in safe shelter close to shore. Those who are unable to return to safe shelter should keep mobile phones and radios with them. Be prepared by knowing the speed of the storm, and keep your family informed of your location. Try to take shelter back at the base.

4. Move the livestock to a safe place.

Be careful and take awareness measures in your respective coastal areas. Help people and animals to move to a shelter or safe place.

⚠️জিএলটিএস টিভি সচেতনতা মূলক সংবাদ: ঘূর্ণিঝড় সিতরাং

আজ ২৩ তারিখ ঘূর্ণিঝড় সিতরাং ধেয়ে আসছে যার প্রভাবে বিভিন্ন জেলায় বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে। ২৪ তারিখ বাংলাদেশে আঘাত হানবে ঘূর্ণিঝড় সিতরাং। ধারণা করা হচ্ছে সন্দীপে ঘূর্ণিঝড়টি আছড়ে পড়বে। ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের দাপটে ১৯ টি জেলায় ক্ষতির আশঙ্কা রয়েছে। ঝড়ের প্রভাবে তিন থেকে পাঁচ ফুট পর্যন্ত জলোচ্ছ্বাস হতে পারে।

বাংলাদেশ ছাড়াও ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সহ আরো কয়েক উপকূলবর্তী জেলাগুলো ঝড়ের প্রভাব পড়বে।

🆘ঘূর্ণিঝড় সিতরাং মোকাবেলায় করণীয়:

১. উপকূলীয় এলাকায় ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের প্রভাবে ঝড় ও প্রচুর বৃষ্টিপাত হতে পারে। ব্যাপক বৃষ্টিপাতের কারণে পাহাড়ি ঢল, জলোচ্ছ্বাস ও ভূমিধস ঘটতে পারে। তাই সবাই নিরাপদ থাকার জন্য প্রস্তিতি গ্রহণ করুন।

২. ঘূর্ণিঝড় আঘাত হানার সময় উপকূলের নিচু এলাকা স্বাভাবিকের চেয়ে বেশি উচ্চতার জলোচ্ছ্বসে প্লাবিত হতে পারে।উপকূলীয় এলাকার বাসিন্দারা আশ্রয়কেন্দ্রে যাবেন। এক্ষেত্রে বৃদ্ধ, প্রতিবন্ধী, শিশু ও গর্ভবতী নারীদের আগে পাঠাতে হবে।আশ্রয় কেন্দ্রে যাওয়ার সময় টর্চ লাইট, দেশলাইসহ মোমবাতি, শুকনো খাবার ও বিশুদ্ধ পানি সঙ্গে রাখুন।

৩. বন্দরগুলোতে জারি করা বিপদ সংকেত মেনে চলুন। সাগরে অবস্থানরত সব মাছ ধরার নৌকা ও ট্রলারকে উপকূলের কাছাকাছি নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ে থাকুন।যারা নদী থেকে কূলে ফিরে নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ে যেতে পারছেন না তারা সাথে মোবাইল ফোন ও রেডিও কাছে রাখুন। ঝড়ের গতিবেগ বিষয়ে জেনে সেভাবে প্রস্তুতি রাখুন, নিজেদের অবস্থানের সংবাদ পরিবারকে অবগত করুন। চেষ্টা করুন কূলে ফিরে আশ্রয় নিতে।

৪. গবাদি পশুপাখি নিরাপদ স্থানে সরিয়ে ফেলুন।

আপনারা সাবধানতা অবলম্বন করে নিজ নিজ উপকূল এলাকায় সচেতনতার ব্যবস্থা নিন. আশ্রয়কেন্দ্রে যেতে বা নিরাপদ স্থানে যেতে সাহায্য করুন।
