My superhero Dad

In a world of heroes, big and bold,
There's one who stands out, strong and gold.
With a heart of courage, and a spirit brave,
My superhero dad, our love he gave.

In times of darkness, he's my guiding light,
A beacon of hope, shining bright.
With every challenge, he's by my side,
His strength and wisdom, my endless guide.

He wears no cape, no mask, no crown,
Yet in my eyes, he's renowned.
For all the battles he's fought and won,
My dad, my hero, second to none.

With hands that lift me when I fall,
And words that echo a loving call.
He's more than just a man, you see,
He's the superhero who's always there for me.

Through thick and thin, he'll never sway,
In his embrace, I find my way.
So here's to my superhero dad,
Forever grateful, forever glad.

My Broken Heart

In the shadows of my shattered dreams,
Lies the echo of silent screams.
On this day, a year ago, you chose another's hand,
Leaving me to wander in this lonely land.

My heart, once whole, now torn apart,
By the cruel twist of fate's dark art.
What was my mistake, I cannot tell,
As I bid farewell to love's sweet spell.

Yet, as you walk your chosen path,
I offer no bitterness, no wrath.
For in my prayers, I wish you well,
May happiness in your heart forever dwell.

Though my heart may be broken, it's true,
I still hold love's flame, for you.
So wherever you may be, whoever holds your hand,
I pray for joy to forever stand.

On this first anniversary, I will let my tears depart,
And find solace in the healing of my broken heart.
