Thatched Dome Hut : Panna Technology
A boy used primitive tools and materials to build a thatched dome hut on a mountain ridge. The hut had a pointed dome shape, halfway between a spherical dome and a ti-pi. It was 2.5 m in diameter and 2 m tall, constructed with 8 saplings measuring 2.75 m in length. Split palm fronds were used for thatching, and vines for tying everything together. The boy dug a moat around the hut to drain water, and planted sweet potatoes and taro nearby for future food.

Wattle and Daub Hut: Panna Technology
The hut was constructed in the bush by a boy using primitive tools and naturally occurring materials. It has dimensions of 2m x 2m, with side walls 1m high and a ridge line reaching 2m for a 45-degree roof angle. Inside, a bed occupies slightly less than half of the hut. The tools used include a stone hand ax for wood chopping, fire sticks for making fire, a digging stick for excavation, and clay pots for water transportation. The hut was built using a wooden frame, lashings made from vine and lawyer cane, and mud for the walls.
