🇺🇸🎓 Attention Applicants for Fall '24 Applications! 🎓🇧🇩

The moment you've been waiting for is here! On August 1st, the Common App has been refreshed, and now you can begin your journey of applying to U.S. universities for Fall 2024! As a fellow Bangladeshi student who has gone through this process and working as a mentor for more than 2 years, I want to share some valuable tips that you should keep in mind from the very beginning:

1️⃣ Start Early: Don't wait until the last minute to begin your application. Start early to gather all necessary documents, transcripts, and essays.

2️⃣ Research Colleges: Research and create a list of colleges that align with your interests, goals, and financial situation. Be sure to consider factors like location, majors offered, and campus culture.

3️⃣ Common App Essay: Your essay is your chance to showcase your uniqueness. Be genuine, tell your story, and highlight your passions and accomplishments.

4️⃣ Seek Recommendations Early: Request letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, or mentors as soon as possible, giving them enough time to write thoughtful letters.

5️⃣ Common App Fill-up: Common App has hundreds of questions to fill out, and it will take time. Fill out each and every single part with equal importance. Admissions officers love to see well-rounded applications.

6️⃣ Polish Your English: Since the application is in English, focus on improving your language skills. Clear communication is crucial for a strong application.

7️⃣ Stay Organized: Keep track of deadlines and requirements for each college you apply to. Stay organized to avoid last-minute stress. If possible, use a planner or to-do list.

8️⃣ Apply for Financial Aid: If you need financial aid, explore scholarship opportunities and complete the necessary forms for financial aid. Be careful about the scholarship-dedicated deadlines.

9️⃣ Reach Out for Help: If you have questions or need guidance, don't hesitate to reach out to university representatives, alumni, educational consultants, or mentors. Everyone is ready to help you.

🔟 Stay Positive and Persistent: The application process can be challenging, but stay positive and keep pushing forward. Remember, you have what it takes to succeed!

🌍 **Sharing My Journey as a Study Abroad Facilitator in Bangladesh** 🇧🇩

Hi Everyone,

I am thrilled to take a moment and share with you an incredible experience I had last December. Representing Beloit College and in collaboration with EducationUSA Bangladesh, I embarked on a remarkable journey across different cities and institutions in Bangladesh, spreading awareness about study abroad opportunities.

During my visit, I had the privilege of meeting with esteemed principals, educators, and faculties, engaging in insightful discussions about the benefits of studying abroad. I conducted numerous sessions on study abroad, marking a significant milestone as the first individual in Bangladesh to organize such diverse events in different cities.

The list of institutions I visited includes the EducationUSA head office, Khulna office, EMK Center Dhaka, Notre Dame College, The Aga Khan School, and Khulna Public College. Each session was tailored to address the unique needs of students, providing valuable information and guidance on pursuing higher education overseas.

I am grateful for the overwhelming support and participation from students who attended the open study abroad sessions at the EducationUSA head office at the US Embassy in Dhaka, EducationUSA Office Khulna, Notre Dame College in collaboration with the Notre Dame Science Club, and The Aga Khan School. Additionally, I had the privilege of conducting a free essay review session in collaboration with the EMK Center, which proved to be immensely beneficial for aspiring students.

Witnessing the 𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 in person was an awe-inspiring moment for me. It was an incredible honor to see the Noble Prize of Prof. Dr. Paul C Lauterbur, whose groundbreaking research paved the way for today's MRI technology. UIUC, with its impressive roster of over 30 Nobel Laureates, solidifies its position among the top 15 universities globally with the highest number of Noble Laureates.

I apologize for not sharing any Study Abroad videos or content in the last few months, but I've finally settled down and managed my workload. The person you can see in this picture is Richard, one of the Ph.D. students from Dr.Sweedler Research Group. Last Wednesday, at 11:00 am, Richard started giving the talk. I was sitting in that hall. By 1:00pm, Richard left the hall as Dr.Richard.

Isn't it really fascinating?

For the first time, I was in the final defense of a Ph.D. student as a part of my summer research program. That experience was out of this world. Eagerly waiting for this day of my life...🤞🤞
