SSD vs HDD
আমরা যখনই ল্যাপটপ কিংবা কম্পিউটার কিনতে যাই SSD এবং হার্ড ডিস্ক ড্রাইভ (HDD) এর নাম শুনেছি। অথবা যারা কম্পিউটার ব্যাবহার করে এদের প্রত্যেকেই হার্ডডিক্স এর নামটা শুনেছি।

HDD এবং SSD খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি বিষয় যা আপনার জানা উচিত যদি আপনি ল্যাপটপ কম্পিউটারে কাজ করেন অথবা ল্যাপটপ কম্পিউটার কিনতে চান।

সেকেন্ডারি স্টোরেজ এর অৰ্থ হলো এটি আমরা কোনো কাজ , কোনো ফাইল Save করে রাখতে পারি। কম্পিউটার বন্ধ করে দেওয়ার পরও এটি সেকেন্ডারি স্টোরেজ এর মধ্যে সঞ্চিত থাকে।

HDD ও SSD কি?
HDD এর পুরো নাম হলো হার্ড ডিস্ক ড্রাইভ (Hard disk drive)। সংক্ষেপে আমরা হার্ড ডিস্ক ও বলে থাকি হার্ড ডিস্ক হলো আমাদের কম্পিউটারের সেকেন্ডারি স্টোরেজ সিস্টেম।। অন্যদিকে SSD এর পুরো নাম হলো (Solid state drive (সলিড স্টেট ড্রাইভ)। এটিও হার্ড ডিস্ক এর মতো একটি সেকেন্ডারি স্টোরেজ সিস্টেম।

প্রাইমারি স্টোরেজ হলো RAM যা কম্পিউটারের সমস্ত কাজ কে স্টোর করে রাখে কম্পিউটার চলাকালীন।

SSD এর মধ্যে সবথেকে সুবিধা হলো স্পীড। SSD HDD এর তুলনায় অনেক দ্রুত।

HDD এবং SSD এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য:

১। স্পীড(Speed):
- হার্ড ডিস্ক ধীরে (slow) হয়
- লিড ডিস্ক খুবই ফাস্ট হয় এটি 5 থেকে 20 গুন ফাস্ট হয় HDD এর তুলনায়।

২। পাওয়ার (Power):
- বৈদ্যুতিক power HDD তে বেশি লাগে । কারণ অনেক মেকানিকাল পার্টস আছে।
- সলিড স্টেট ড্রাইভ এ কম power লাগে। কারণ এখানে শুধু মাইক্রোচিপ থাকে।

৩। জীবনকাল (Lifetime):
- হার্ড ড্রাইভ এর জীবনকাল 5 বছর পর্যন্ত হয়। এটি নির্ভর করে আপনি কোন ব্যাবহার করছেন। কম ব্যবহার করলে বেশি দিন চলবে।
- সলিড স্ট্রেট ড্রাইভ এর জীবনকাল 10 বছর পর্যন্ত। এর ক্ষেত্রেও একই ব্যাপার বেশি ব্যাবহার করলে কম দিন চলবে। কম ব্যবহার করলে বেশি দিন চলবে।

৪। খারাপ হওয়ার আশঙ্খা (Fear of getting worse):
- হাত থেকে পড়ে গেলে কিম্বা কোন রকম কোন ধাক্কা খেলে হার্ডডিক্স খারাপ হয়ে যেতে পারে। কারণ এর ভেতরে ডিস্ক থাকে, লেজার হেড থাকে তাই ধাক্কা লাগল ওগুলি খারাপ হয়ে যাওয়া সম্ভবনা অনেক বেশি। বেশিরভাগ সময় খারাপ হয়েই যায়।
- সলিড স্ট্রেট ড্রাইভ এ কোনো মেকানিক্যাল পার্টস থাকেনা তাই হাত থেকে পড়ে গিয়ে ওগুলি নষ্ট হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা খুব কম থাকে তাই যে সাধারনত সলিড স্ট্রেট ড্রাইভ কম খারাপ হয় ধাক্কা লাগার পরেও।

৫। দাম(Price):
- দাম অনেকটাই কম হয় SSD এর তুলনায়
- দাম অনেকটাই বেশি HDD এর তুলনায়। বর্তমানে 240GB সলিড স্ট্রেট ড্রাইভ এর দাম 3-4 হাজার টাকার মতো। যেখানে 1 TB হার্ড ডিস্ক হয়ে যাবে ওই টাকায়।
