Unidentified woman's body found in Shibpur

DHBD Desk:
Police have recovered the body of a 30-year-old woman from a pile of dried bean vines. At the time of writing, no identity of the deceased woman has been found.

The body was recovered from under a pile of dried vines near the culvert of Kharia Dakshin Para-Telia Jhauakandi canal in Machimpur union of Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Thursday.

According to the police, the locals saw a dead body and informed the police. Later the police went and recovered the body and brought it back. The woman was wearing a salwar-kameez and a scarf around her neck.

The body has been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Shibpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Salauddin Mia said, “Police have started investigation into the incident. It is believed that he was killed a few days ago and left here.

Duo motorcyclists killed in a road mishap in Shibpur

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Shibpur in Narsingdi. The accident took place on Thursday (November 18) afternoon on Itakhola-Manohardi regional road in Baraigaon area of ​​the upazila.

The dead are- Belabo Upazila Riaz Uddin's son. Sunny (20) and Md. Of the same area. Nazrul's son Shah Alam.

According to local sources, Sunny and Shah Alam were going to Itakhola on a motorbike from Manohardi along the Itakhola Manohardi Regional Road in the afternoon. When their motorcycle reached the C&B Baraigaon area of ​​Shibpur, it collided with another CNG-powered autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The two fell on the road with the motorcycle. The locals rescued them and took them to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared them dead.

Shibpur police officer in charge (OC) said. Salah Uddin said, "As far as we know, there is no fault of lorry driver or CNG driver." The speed of the motorcycle was much higher. As a result, the motorcycle fell on the road while trying to give side to the lorry coming from the opposite direction. The bodies of the deceased are in the morgue of Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

Educational Institutions must be reopened

Dear Sir,
Even though the educational institutions are closed, the students are not sitting idle . They have been involved in various crimes. Playing online games is lacking intellectual power. Students are roaming freely in the park, on the beach. Juvenile gangs are being formed, juvenile crimes are on the rise. Many students are dropping out. After the opening of the institution, it can be seen that many students are absent from the classes . Yes, they are dropped out from educational lives. Educational institutions have been remaining closed for 14 months. The children of middle class, lower middle class families are involved in various earning activities to take the helm of the family.

It does not seem possible to return these students to the institutions. And those who are not involved in work are involved in crimes. Many are getting addicted to drugs. The situation of girls is worse, parents are marrying them off before they become matured enough, they are being deprived of education.

I think the problem will be solved only if the school-college is reopened. I am drawing attention of the concerned authorities to take appropriate steps in this regard.

A motorcyclist killed as hit by a private car in Shibpur

Md. Tanshen, Narsingdi:

A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision between a private car and a motorcycle at Shibpur in Narsingdi. Another rider on the motorcycle was seriously injured.

The deceased was identified as Manik Chandra Das, 40. He is the son of Rabindra Chandra Das of Joynagar village in the upazila.

The accident took place at Gashirdia Pukurpar on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at 2pm on Tuesday (May 18).

Another motorcyclist Dilip Sarkar, 50, was rescued with serious injuries and sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital by locals. The driver of the private car is absconding.

Teenager killed as a Nasimon overturns in Shibpur

Md. Tanshen, Narsingdi:

Eid means joy and Eid means happiness and on this happy day a teenager named Siam Sheikh (14) killed as a three wheeler (Nasimon) overturned in Shibpur under Narsingdi district . Another friend was also seriously injured.

The accident took place in front of the house of BCash agent Md Ripon Sheikh in Dargarband village under Dulalpur union of the upazila on Friday, May 14 at around 10 am.

The deceased was identified as Siam, niece of Nasimon driver (Three-wheeler) Md Mamun Sheikh of the same village. Siam lived in his grandfather's house.

According to local sources, on the morning of Eid, the deceased's cousin along with 6/7 friends, was going to his maternal grandmother's house situated at Chandivardi driving a three-wheeler (Nasimon). While returning home from Nana's house, he lost it's control over the steering and fell in a nearby field when he reached in front of the house of Ripon Sheikh, a BCash agent in Dargarband village of the union, leaving Siam and Delwar Sheikh's son critically injured who were sitting at the back of the Nasimon. Locals rescued Siam in a critical condition and took home, where he passed away. This casted a shadow of mourning over the family.

Meanwhile, the condition of the boy in the same area has been reported as alarming. He was admitted to a hospital in Narsingdi.

Road Mishap claims 3, 5 injured in Shibpur

Md. Tanshen, Narsingdi:

Three people, including a woman, were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus in Narsingdi. The accident took place at Srishtigarh in Shibpur upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 2pm on Wednesday (May 12).

Details of the dead were not immediately known.

Nur Haider Talukder, a police inspector at the Itakhola Highway police outpost, and locals said a passenger local bus on its way from Bhairab to Dhaka collided head-on with a Sylhet-bound Hayes microbus heading from the opposite direction. The microbus smashed and killed three people, including the driver and a woman, on the spot and injured five others.

Upon receiving the news, the Itakhola Highway Police and Fire Service with the help of locals rescued the victims and sent them to the hospital and recovered the two vehicles involved in the accident.

Highway police initially believe that the passenger bus overtook another vehicle at a reckless speed and crushed the microbus coming from the opposite direction. Highway police said they were preparing to file a case in the accident.

Dulalpur UP residents to get Covid-19 vaccine on April 13

Md. Tanshen, Narsingdi: Corona vaccine will be given to the residents of Dulalpur union of Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on April 13 to prevent corona virus pandemic.

The vaccine will be administered at Dulalpur Union Parishad premises from 9 am to 3 pm on Tuesday (April 13), said Dulalpur Union Parishad Chairman Merajul Haque Meraj.

Those who are 40 years of age or older will be vaccinated and who have taken the first dose of the vaccine and it is time to take the second dose can also be vaccinated. However, at this time they must bring your national identity card and mobile phone.

In a dark cabin I stayed
For ten months and ten days
Totally alone, none accompanied me
Except for my lord.
Several times I kicked its wall
The caretaker didn't mind;
Rather she supervised me with utmost care.
When I came out
Of that dark cabin,
Light kissed me first.
