Ohms Law, Kirchhoff's Principles, Bernoulli's Principle, and Matter Waves
1. Ohms Law
Ohms Law is a fundamental principle in electrical circuits. It states that the current (I) flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage (V) applied across it and inversely proportional to its resistance (R). Mathematically, it can be represented as:
V = IR
2. Kirchhoff's Principles
Kirchhoff's Laws are two fundamental principles used to analyze electrical circuits.
- Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL): The sum of the currents entering a node must equal the sum of the currents leaving the node.
- Kirchhoff's Voltage Law (KVL): The sum of the voltages around any closed loop in a circuit must equal zero.
3. Bernoulli's Principle
Bernoulli's Principle is a principle in fluid dynamics that states that as the speed of a fluid increases, its pressure decreases. This principle is often used to explain the lift of aircraft wings and the flow of fluids through pipes.
4. Matter Waves
Matter waves are a concept in quantum mechanics that suggests that particles, such as electrons and protons, exhibit wave-like properties. This idea was proposed by Louis de Broglie in 1924 and has been confirmed through experiments. The de Broglie wavelength (λ) of a particle is related to its momentum (p) by the equation:
λ = h / p
where h is Planck's constant.
