There is no opportunity to take the admission test a second time at Dhaka University. However, those who are improving candidates will get the opportunity to take the admissions test.
To apply for undergraduate admission 2023-2024 to the University of Dhaka, the applicant has to pass the SSC or equivalent examination from any education board between 2018 and 2021. Candidates must pass HSC and equivalent examinations in 2023 from any education board and Bangladesh Open University. Those who have passed the "A" level and "O" level can also participate in the admission test. It is to be noted that GHA-Unit (Group Change) of Dhaka University admission has been canceled from the 2023-2024 academic year

Besides, the applicants must have the required qualifications for the unit to which they are applying. Eligibility for unit-based applications is given below.
>>KA UNIT: The KA unit is for Science and Agriculture. To apply for KA-Unit of Dhaka University, the total GPA in Secondary and Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examinations should be at least 8.50. Also, each must have at least 3.50 separately. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject. Also, the candidates who want to be admitted to any department must have the qualifications prescribed for that department.
>>KHA-Unit: Those who have passed HSC and equivalent level from Humanities can apply in KHA-Unit. To apply for KHA-Unit, the minimum total GPA should be 8.00. In addition, each of the SSC and HSC or equivalent levels must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 separately. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject. In some cases, the condition of number/grade prescribed by the unit has to be fulfilled.
>>GA-Unit: The "GA-Unit" of Dhaka University is for the BBA program. However, it is not the IBA BBA of the University of Dhaka. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations in Business Studies, Diploma-in-Business Studies, and Business Management examinations can apply in GA-Unit. The minimum total GPA to apply for C-Unit is 8.00. In addition, each of the SSC and HSC level exams must have a minimum GPA of 3.50. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject.
>>GHA-Unit: GHA-Unit is the Faculty of Social Sciences. Everyone including science, business studies, and humanities groups can apply in this unit. However, whoever applies from the group, must have the minimum qualifications of that group. GPA will be calculated with the fourth subject. The application will not be accepted if any subject has below the "B" Grade (grade point 3.00) in the higher secondary or equivalent examination.
*The total GPA for students from the humanities group should be a minimum of 8.00 and 3.0 separately in each of the SSC and HC levels.
*For business studies group students, the total GPA should be at least 8.00 with a separate minimum GPA of 3.50 for each of the SSC and HSC levels.
*Students from the Science Group should have a minimum total GPA of 8.50. In addition, each SSC and HSC must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 separately.
>>CHA-Unit: The "CHA-Unit" of Dhaka University is the Faculty of Fine Arts. Students of any group can apply to this unit. A minimum total GPA of 7.00 is required to apply for the CHA unit. Also at SSC and HSC level minimum GPA should be 3.00. GPA will be calculated with the fourth subject.
