China has reportedly achieved a major breakthrough in satellite communication by reaching a 100 Gbps data transfer rate using advanced laser technology, significantly surpassing previous capabilities. This achievement was made by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., which successfully conducted a high-speed satellite-to-ground laser transmission using its Jilin-1 Platform 02A02 satellite and a truck-mounted ground station.
