Harun-Ar-Rashid was born on 10 August 1983 in the village of Gobaria in the then Kishoreganj district. He studied at Laxmipur High School. In 1999, he passed SSC from Aftab Uddin School and College. He then graduated from Abdus Sattar College and graduated from the Asian University of Bangladesh with a bachelor's and master's degree in Islamic history and civilization.
He is a banker by profession. He joined Grameen Bank in 2007 as a trainee center manager. He is currently working in Nawabganj as a senior center manager. He was the Zone Leader of Grameen Bank Employees Association for nine consecutive years from 2009 to 2017.
Harun-Ar-Rashid is also a promising writer in the world of Bengali writing. His first original thriller '29' caused quite a stir among the readers. Having reviewed more than a hundred books, he has become well-known among the readers. He has also been the admin of the largest book group 'Boipokader Addakhana'.
