In the capital's Rampura, Anabil was hit by a bus
Mainuddin, an SSC examinee of Ekramunnesa School, was killed.
Meanwhile, agitated crowds gathered at the spot and blocked the road following the incident of the student's death. It is learned that they set fire to several buses.
Witnesses said the incident took place in front of Rampura Bazar around 11:15 pm on Monday. They said that at one stage of the argument with the bus conductor in front of Rampura Bazar, the helper of the bus pushed a college student named Mahin from the bus and threw him down.
He fell on the road, then the moving bus ran over his head and fled. He died on the spot.
Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rampura Police Station Rafiqul Islam said one person was killed in front of Rampura Bazar in the bus crash.

Hundreds of teenage students in uniforms took to the streets in Dhaka for the third day on Saturday, occupying several crossings and paralysing traffic movement in demand of road safety measures enforcement.
The agitating students checked the documents of vehicles and driving licences.
Protests also held on Wednesday and Thursday after the death of a Notre Dame College student Nayeem Hasan by a dustcart of Dhaka South City Corporation in the Gulistan area.
After a break on Friday, students returned to Dhaka streets and staged demonstration at different areas in the capital, including Dhanmondi-27, Uttara, Jatrabari, Rampura, Mohakhali, Shantinagar, Khilgaon, seeking road safety and half fare in all public transports.
Students from various educational institutions, including Tejgaon College, Eden Mohila College, Holy Cross College, Government Laboratory High School, Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College, Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College, University Women’s Federation College and Stamford University blocked the Mirpur Road at Dhanmondi-27 from around 11:30am to 2:15pm.
Ashiqur Rahman, a second-year HSC student of Tejgaon College, said they found that most of the drivers, especially of buses, were driving their vehicles without having valid licences.
'We took to the streets in 2018 demanding safe road for all. But most of our demands are yet to be fulfilled,’ he added.
