Closing Announcement : Open Acquisition Call 2025-26

Dear Filmmakers and Film Friends,

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a good number of submissions for our 2025-26 Festival Calendar Year through our recent Acquisition Call. Thank you to everyone who shared their incredible work with us—your creativity and passion are truly inspiring!

This phase of our open call is now officially closed. However, we remain open to discussions and inquiries via our email address: [email protected]. If you have a project you’d like to share or discuss, feel free to reach out to us anytime.

For those who have already submitted their films, please note that we are in the process of reviewing all submissions and will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

We are pleased to share that the screening of Jhiripoth Periye (Beyond the Trails), written and directed by Fazle Hasan Shishir, produced by Mohd Sifat Hasan, along with the panel discussion on the tourism in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, has been successfully concluded. The event provided insights into the intersections of tourism, identity, culture, and sustainability in the region.

We are grateful to Drik for their collaboration and dedication to fostering dialogue on such critical issues.

Written & Directed by Fazle Hasan Shishir, this short film offers an exploration of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), where tourism intersects with Indigenous communities’ lives, traditions, and cultural resilience.

"ছাদের ছবি: মরশুম দুই, পর্ব দুই"

প্রতি মংগলবার সন্ধ্যায় আমাদের আয়োজনে ছবি দেখতে আসেন বিভিন্ন পেশা ও ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড এর নতুন-পুরাতন মানুষ।

ছবি দেখে আলাপ-বাহাস-তর্কের একটা ছোট প্লাটফর্ম তৈরি হচ্ছে আমাদের ঘীরে। আমরা আশাবাদী যে, এরকম আরো প্লাটফর্ম তৈরি হচ্ছে-হবে নানা জায়গায়- যা ছোট হলেও একটা স্থায়ী ইম্প্যাক্ট তৈরি করবে আমাদের অডিওভিজুয়াল কালচার এবং চিন্তার জগতে।

নয়া মরশুমের শুরুতে ছাদের ছবির আজকের আয়োজনে ছিলো ফিলিপিনো ছবি Perfumed Nightmare.
যেখানে আমরা দেখি একজন স্বপ্নাতুর চরিত্রের গল্প, একটা স্বপ্ন কাউকে কতটা প্রভাবিত করতে পারে সেই বিষয়ে চরিত্রটির স্ট্রাগল।
ছবি শেষে আমরা নিজেদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি থেকে আলাপ আলোচনা করেছি। যেখানে ছিলো নির্ভেজাল এবং অনাড়ম্বর উপস্থাপনা। ছিল না কোনো বাড়তি আনুষ্ঠানিকতা।
ছাদের ছবি চলাকালীন এবং ছবি পরবর্তী আলাপচারিতার কিছু মুহুর্ত আপনাদের সাথে ভাগাভাগি করে নিলাম।

গতকাল ছাদের ছবি : মরশুম এক, পর্ব নয় এ নির্বাচিত কিছু শর্ট ফিল্মগুলো দেখা শেষে আমাদের দর্শকদের অভিব্যক্তি ছিলো, "এখনই কেনো শেষ হয়ে গেলো!! ছবিগুলো আরেকটু বেশিক্ষণ চললে ভালো লাগতো" 😊😊

আপনাদের এমন অভিব্যক্তিই আমাদের উদ্যোগকে প্রেরণা দেয়। আপনাদের আরো ভালো কিছু উপহার দিতে তাগিদ দেয়। ❤️❤️

It's a pleasure to announce that Shankha Dasgupta's debut feature film "Dear Maloti (2024)" is going to be World Premiered at 45th Cairo International Film Festival in the Official Competition category.

We, at Ratherhood Initiative Ltd., feel proud to be the International Distribution company of this film produced by Adnan Al Rajeev and Redoan Rony.

Fazle Hasan Shishir, a champ producer of our house has co-produced this film.

শেষ হল ছাদের ছবির প্রথম মরশুমের চতুর্থ পর্ব। আজকের স্ক্রিনিংয়ে ছিল ইরানি চলচ্চিত্রকার জাফর পানাহি পরিচালিত No Bears (2022).
