আওয়ামী লীগের ছাত্র সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ ছাত্রলীগকে নিষিদ্ধ করেছে অন্তর্বর্তী সরকার। বুধবার (২৩ অক্টোবর) স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের জননিরাপত্তা বিভাগের রাজনৈতিক শাখা-২ থেকে এ বিষয়ে প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়েছে।

প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা পরবর্তী বিভিন্ন সময়ে, বিশেষ করে গত ১৫ বছরে স্বৈরাচারী শাসনামলে বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের ভ্রাতৃপ্রতিম সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ ছাত্রলীগ হত্যা, নির্যাতন, গণরুমকেন্দ্রিক নিপীড়ন, ছাত্রাবাসে সিট বাণিজ্য, টেন্ডারবাজি, ধর্ষণ ও যৌন নিপীড়নসহ নানাবিধ জননিরাপত্তা বিঘ্নকারী কর্মকাণ্ডে জড়িত ছিল। এ সম্পর্কিত প্রামাণ্য তথ্য দেশের সব প্রধান গণমাধ্যমে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে এবং কিছু সন্ত্রাসী ঘটনায় সংগঠনটির নেতাকর্মীদের অপরাধ আদালতেও প্রমাণিত হয়েছে
