In this situation, you can be a better first aider even if there is a lack of health care professionals or they are late. Here are some first aid techniques from a certified first aider (me):

1. Remember the primary survey 'ABC'- make sure their Airway is clear, it is not obstructed and they can speak clearly. Because it can lead to shortness of breath and death. Make sure the patient is Breathing normally, if not, start CPR ASAP and call the ambulance. If an AED (defibrillator) is nearby, send someone to get it. However, this might not be possible in BD. So just call the ambulance and keep doing CPR. Give 30 chest compressions and 2 breaths through the mouth (I'd suggest everyone watch YT videos before doing it because it needs proper energy and pressure to do CPR on an adult). Check Circulation. If the person is heavily bleeding, try to pressurize the place so that it stops the bleeding. don't give water to drink at that time. Just pressurize and move to the hospital.

2. If a patient is injured, keep them in a recovery position. I have posted the link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmqXqwSV3bo

3. Try to give the patient fresh air and if possible keep checking the SpO2 level (oxygen level). It shouldn't be less than 96 or 94.

4. If it's a gun shot wound, please move the patient to the hospital ASAP.
