The India that, as part of the Anglo-American bloc, was an anti-Taliban partner during Hamid Karzai’s rule; the Pakistan that sheltered millions of Afghan refugees and twice helped free Afghanistan from imperial Russia and America — that Pakistan became our enemy when Afghanistan started sheltering the regular attacker TTP, the group that carries out bombings in Pakistani schools and has killed hundreds of children. In the end Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Kabul. India took advantage of the opportunity; the Taliban, who share the Deobandi followers’ ideology, also showed up in the Deobandi country India!
