Here's a fun fact: The behind-the-scenes magic of the 1998 movie "Godzilla" involved intricate miniature cityscapes. In this image, you can see a person meticulously adjusting or inspecting these tiny buildings. This highlights the use of practical effects and scale models to create realistic scenes. Imagine being so large next to the miniatures that you could take on Godzilla yourself! 🎬👾

It's fascinating to see the level of detail and effort that goes into making movie magic. Do you enjoy learning about how films are made?

The image depicts the nose of an Airbus A319 aircraft with a puncture caused by a bird strike during a hailstorm. Bird strikes, also known as bird-aircraft collisions, can be hazardous to both the aircraft and its occupants. They can occur during any phase of flight but are most common during takeoff, landing, and low-altitude flight.

Here’s an interesting fact: According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), bird strikes have caused over $600 million in damage annually to civil and military aviation sectors in the United States alone. These collisions are taken very seriously by aviation authorities, and measures such as bird detection radar, habitat management near airports, and other wildlife control programs are employed to mitigate the risk.

Want to know more about aviation safety or how aircraft are designed to handle such impacts?

Renowned actress Angelina Jolie purchased 60,000 hectares in Cambodia, an area previously used for hunting animals, and transformed it into a wildlife reserve.
To help hunters who depended on hunting for a living, he hired them as rangers, and now they receive a salary for protecting the animals previously hunted by inhumans los🐘🦍
Among their donations, Angelina and her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, donated $2 million to Naankuse Natural, a sanctuary in Namibia that cares for injured and orphaned animals who cannot return to the wild.
In her films, the actress refuses to wear clothing made of animal skins, always opting for cotton or synthetic materials.

"Elvis stayed in Las Vegas for a while after the shows at the Hilton. He stayed in his suite for a few days, and every night one of the guys was with him. One night it was just me sitting upstairs with Elvis. I casually asked him if he felt like going to play blackjack, knowing full well that the answer would be no around people, but he surprised me "Yeah, let's hit those tables," he said.
We changed and went down to the casino. We started playing and, of course, we started getting attention. The casino surrounded us with the usual red ropes, but after a while I started to think we should move on before attracting a real crowd. We returned to the hotel ballroom, which was larger than most showrooms at the time, and when we saw that the Righteous Brothers were on stage there, we decided to stop at a small casino bar just outside the entrance to the ballroom dance. Elvis and I basically didn't drink, and I think we probably intended to order a cocktail and take care of him for the night. But when people noticed Elvis, he came to say hello and offered to buy us a drink. Norm Crosby was one of the first supporters to want to pay for a ride, and to be polite, we said yes. The drink went down easily. And our place at the bar started to feel very comfortable: Elvis didn't feel like he was in the spotlight, and it seemed normal and natural to go out for a drink. Even passers-by didn't exaggerate: they stopped, greeted us, offered us another drink, chatted for a moment and then moved on. We must have had four or five drinks like this. Of course we drank from the Righteous Brothers set and then some. Eventually one of the brothers, Bill Medley, showed up with his girlfriend Darlene Love of the Blossoms, the group that had supported Elvis in the '68 TV special. We had a drink with them and it was even easier.
At three in the morning we were alone in the bar again and I realized it was time to take responsibility.
“And we better get out of here.” It took a little more work to get the words out.
"Yeah, okay. That's all the damage we can do here." He also had some trouble pronouncing.
We walked through the casino and out the front doors. I went into responsible party mode, keeping an eye on Elvis while hailing a cab. We jump into the back seat of the first one to stop.
“Hilton Hotel, please,” I said to the driver.
He turned and gave me and Elvis a very curious look.
"Sir?" he said
"Yes," said Elvis.
“YOU ARE AT THE HILTON HOTEL.”
Yes we were. We were at the Hilton Hotel and were drunk enough not to know it. We laughed as we walked back to our rooms, and then battled monster hangovers the next day."
PS: Elvis never liked alcoholic drinks.

ON THIS DAY 47 YEARS AGO - During a July 20, 1975 concert, between songs Elvis was joking around and giving out scarves when he noticed a little girl standing on the far left of the stage. He walked over and knelt down on one knee in front of her. Realizing she was blind, Elvis held her hands and spoke to her for a few minutes. The audience could not hear as he kept the microphone away from his mouth. He then kissed his scarf and touched both her eyes with it. When he was finished he took the scarf and held it to the child's face. The little girl stood there with complete confidence in what Elvis was doing. The girl had been blind since birth.
Elvis talked to the girl’s mother after the concert and paid for the surgery to restore her sight. Today she is a computer graphic artist.

**The Story of SS Great Eastern: A Giant Ship Ahead of Its Time**

In 1858, the world witnessed the birth of one of the engineering marvels that had never been seen before—SS Great Eastern. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a genius engineer from England, this ship was the largest in the world at its time.

With a length reaching 211 meters and equipped with a revolutionary double hull, this ship became a great inspiration for the future shipbuilding industry.

SS Great Eastern could carry up to 4,000 passengers in one trip without the need to refuel.

Imagine, this ship could undertake a long journey from England to Australia, making it a pioneer in efficient long-distance sea travel.

Moreover, SS Great Eastern was a symbol of technological advancement because it was equipped with three propulsion systems at once: sails, paddle wheels, and a screw propeller. This innovation changed the standards of ships at that time.

However, the story of this ship is not just about technology. SS Great Eastern also became an inspiration in the literary world. Jules Verne, a visionary French writer, wrote his novel "A Floating City" based on his experience sailing with this ship.

In that story, Verne depicted the grandeur and full of innovation atmosphere of this giant ship, which resembled a floating city in the vast ocean.

Although grand, the journey of SS Great Eastern was not always smooth. This ship faced various challenges, from financial difficulties to accidents during its operational period. However, its influence on maritime history remains eternal.

Technologies such as the double hull first introduced by this ship are now standard safety measures in modern shipbuilding.

SS Great Eastern is proof that the courage to dream big and break technological boundaries can leave an everlasting legacy. As a ship that was "ahead of its time," it remains a symbol of progress, inspiration, and innovation to this day.

Chinese scientists have unveiled a groundbreaking test flight from 2021, where a jumbo jet prototype achieved hypersonic speeds of Mach 6.56—roughly 5,033 mph.

The flight, shrouded in secrecy until now, was revealed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences through a social media post that included a video of the aircraft’s lift-off.

Cui Kai, the project leader, shared insights into the test during an October event in Beijing, detailing the rigorous process behind the achievement.

Off-road motorbikes have proven invaluable for anti-poaching efforts in South Africa, particularly in expansive and remote areas where traditional vehicles cannot operate effectively due to the lack of roads. These motorbikes enable rangers to reach poaching hotspots swiftly, offering a practical solution to counter illegal wildlife activities. However, conventional petrol-powered bikes are noisy, often alerting poachers to the rangers' approach, reducing the element of surprise crucial in such operations. Additionally, their reliance on fuel creates logistical challenges, as remote refueling contributes to environmental degradation and high operational costs.

To address these issues, Swedish company CAKE has collaborated with the Southern African Wildlife College (SAWC) to introduce the Kalk AP, an electric bush bike specifically designed for anti-poaching. These bikes are nearly silent, reducing the chances of detection, and operate sustainably using solar-powered mobile charging stations. This innovation
