Kamrul Hasan Shayok Born on 6 September 1965,
Birth place : Syedpur, Nilphamari.
Native place: Chandpur Sadar, Chandpur.
Father Sirajul Haque Bhuiyan and Mother Salma Begum.
Education – Masters in Business Administration.
He is well known in the publishing world as a publishing and printing specialist. He has been working tirelessly for almost three decades with the aim of bringing the publishing industry of Bangladesh collectively to the world standard and connecting it to the international publishing stream. He is one of the pioneers of technology-based modern methods of book publishing Business management in Bangladesh.
He has played a significant role for the publishers of Bangladesh organising and participating in the book fair of home and abroad.
His role in ensuring the presence of Bangladesh in numerous international book fairs including Frankfurt Book Fair, London Book Fair, Kolkata International Book Fair is commendable. He played an outstanding role in achieving full membership of Bangladesh academic and Creative Publishers Association in International Publishers Association (IPA) and establishing Bangladesh's leadership in Asia Pacific Publishers Association (APPA). He is the former Executive Director of Academic and creative publishers association of Bangladesh . He is currently serving as the Chairman of Working Committee of Asia Pacific Publishers Association, Vice-President of Bangladesh Book Publishers and Sellers Association and Managing Director of Panjeree Publications Ltd. Director of Barotopa Printers ltd, Chairman of PBS Ltd (first chain book store in Bangladesh ). Director of Dursoon Publications and Akkharpatra prokashoni.
He has wriiten Children's Books Jamie O Jadur Shim Gach (2003), Motshokumari O Ek Ashchorjo Nogori (2020), Mudranshoilee Nandanik Prokashonar Nirdeshika (2018) Pandulipi Prostutkron Sompadona O Proofreading (2019), Pustok utpadon bebosthapona (2021).
He is also life time member of Bangla Academy, Bangladesh liberation war museum, SAARC Chamber of Commerce And Industry ( SAARC CCI). United Nations Association of Bangaladesh (UNAB). Kamrul Hasan Shayok is also member of Printer Industry Association of Bangladesh, Intellectual Property association of Bangladesh and Dhaka chamber of commerce & Industry.
He is the General Secretary of Uttaran Foundation, A renowned social welfare organization in Bangladesh.
