MonkeyPix has been on high alert at the 'Health Screening Booth' at the Joynagar checkpost in Chuadanga since the instruction. The health workers on duty at the check post are on alert.

According to Joynagar checkpost sources, due to visa complications, the movement of Bangladeshi passengers through Joynagar checkpost is limited. However, Indian passengers are coming and going regularly. Basically, the health of all those who are entering Bangladesh from India is being checked.

At present, at least 400 passengers are traveling on this route every day, said the officials at the Joynagar check post. Most of them are Indians. Hat related people said that 15 to 20 trucks of molasses are sold daily at Sarojganj molasses market. This year a molasses weighing 10/12 kg is being sold for one to one and a half thousand rupees. The quality of molasses in this market is quite good, the price is relatively low. As a result, Chuadanga dates are in great demand all over the country. Molasses will be sold at the market till next March, said the concerned.
According to the locals, the molasses market in Sarojganj has been going on for more than 100 years. At present molasses worth Tk 10-15 crore is sold in this market in one season. In order to maintain the reputation of the market, the local buyers feel that more attention needs to be paid to the quality of molasses.

Unidentified miscreants shot dead a BGB source named Hazrat Ali while he was sleeping at his home in Chuadanga. The deceased was identified as Hazrat Ali, son of late Rahish Uddin of Nastipur village under Parkrishnapur-Madna union of Damurhuda upazila.
