Building confidence
Last Sunday saw the team head to Ellenbrook Speedway for what would be the first run in 6 weeks! Itching to get out on track would be an understatement!
The first heat was a lot of fun, a nice heavy track that saw us covered in clay and only half a second off the quickest lap time for the heat.
The second heat saw us narrowly avoid an incident on the front straight which unfortunately forced 3 cars to retire. The restart saw us in 3rd, while pushing to get into second spot we went a little wide and lost 3rd position.
We struggled with the setup for the remainder of the day but were happy to finish in 6th place overall in points out of 14 cars for the day.
A huge thankyou to Dad, Jack & Jade, Kyle Sanders, Stephen, Annette, Stewart & Rhys for coming out and assisting!
Our next meeting is on the 18th of August at Ellenbrook and we're ready to go 🤙

GETTING MOMENTUM!
Yesterday the team headed to Ellenbrook Speedway to see if the changes that we made had any effect what so ever on the car & it looks like they have!
The first heat saw us push harder into the corner, maintaining the slide and trying to keep forward moment, While some times maybe throwing it in a little too much but we were happy with how the car felt in the heavy conditions
For the rest of the day we made changes with shocks to take some of the bounce out and will be something we will look into more at the next meeting in 4 weeks time.
In the feature we finished 10th out of 16 cars to start.

First Meeting Done & Dusted!
So yesterday was the teams first full race day at Ellenbrook Speedway!
Our first heat was the first to hit the track and we weren't ready! But we managed to get out on track and get familiar with the track!
The second was an improvement & feeling more confident to push the car some more after some tweaks.
Our third and final heat saw us ready to go out only to find the accelerator cable had come off the pedal, a quick thinking Rhys Cumming scrambled into the cab to get this fixed for us to continue. We also had some carnage to avoid in front.
Finally it was feature time! As with the heats we grew more confidant and were trying to make a pass in the later stages but just came up short.
All in all the team achieved what we set out to do!
☑️Keep the car straight.
☑️Keep improving as the day went on.
☑️Not get lapped!
☑️Load the car with no damage!
