Celebrating Shirley Pos’s 89th birthday yesterday. 🎂
Shirley still plays a mean game of golf ⛳️, she still has high expectations and is competitive.
She didn’t have 89 off the stick yesterday but guaranteed that she will throughout the season.

Congrats to local volunteer Jude Raftis on being named Loddon Shire’s Citizen of the Year for her work at the Wedderburn Community House and Wedderburn Lions Club! 🇦🇺 👏🏼

It’s no surprise Jude Raftis was announced as Loddon Shire’s Citizen of the Year.

Jude is a force of nature and has contributed to Wedderburn for decades.

She has led work at the Community House and now helps run the Wedderburn Lions Club - with a deep passion for affordable housing for older Victorians.

The ever helpful and enthusiastic Margaret Bentley has volunteered at Wedderburn's Coach House Gallery and Museum for a decade and a half, making scones, guiding tourists, gardening and more! 🙏🏻

Super Volunteer - Congratulations Margaret!
Margaret Bentley has volunteered at the Coach House Gallery and Museum for about 15 years. Scone maker, tour guide, gardener, Mrs Fixit, model, artist, prospector and hostess, she has dedicated her time every week to maintain and promote our history and heritage.

All the very best to Marg Van Veen, who is finishing up at the Wedderburn Community House after an incredible 10 years, spearheading many local projects! 👏🏼‍ 💐

After 10 big years, Marg Van Veen is finishing up at the Wedderburn Community House.

She has spearheaded so many local projects - including the community op shop, murals, dances, shuttle bus, and more.

She is a fierce local advocate and will be sorely missed as manager.

Yesterday I dropped in with chocolates and flowers to thank her for everything she’s done.

And to welcome the fantastic new manager, Louise. 🙂

One year on from a cardiac arrest, Korong Vale teenager Tyson Woodman has thanked paramedics and nurses, including Wedderburn Ambulance Community Officers Glenn Thompson and Lynne Gondar, who were first on the scene.

“I’m back at work at a local supermarket two days a week, I’m riding dirt bikes, and I’m playing footy again next year," reported Tyson, who had to re-learn everything from eating to walking.

“I’d like to thank the Wedderburn and Korong Vale communities, and my mates, for their support and care over the last year,” he added. “Thank you to all the emergency services for saving my life that day.”
