In an exciting project milestone, early works for the new Toowoomba Hospital have now started.

All existing services at the Baillie Henderson campus will remain open while works are in progress.

๐Ÿš— Carparking:
You'll still be able to park on site while visiting our campus. The carpark closest to the worksite will close in May 2024. Before it closes, more carparking will be constructed across the campus to make sure there are no reductions in the total number of carparks available.

๐Ÿšฆ Traffic management:
In late April/early May 2024, Burnview Avenue (from Nicoll Avenue to Mort Street) will close to maintain a safe worksite. Signed detours will be in place to guide road users. Footpath and bike entry will be through the Tor Street entrance.

For more information about the project, including a detour map, head to www.darlingdowns.health.qld.gov.au/newtoowoombahospital.

Vale Miles.

He wasnโ€™t just a respected long-term The Chronicle and High Country Herald journalist.

He possessed a profoundly curious mind and held a deep interest and love for regional Australia.

Born in Kumbia, he was a third cousin and much loved broader family member.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory โœ๏ธ

2024 Theme // Our theme for the year is Together We.

Pope Francis said โ€œThe trinity teaches us that one can never be without the other. We are not islands, we are in the world to live in Godโ€™s image: open, in need of others and in need of helping others.โ€

By building community, by creating a culture of encounter, by working towards the common good, not only do we flourish, so does our global family, so does the earth. Everything is connected!

Hello Chocolate Cottage Community,

We are Mel and Adam and for about a week we have been the proud owners of The Chocolate Cottage. Kay and Colin have nurtured The Cottage for the past 27 years and have created something remarkable. They have been our guiding hands and are now off on a new adventure of their own.

We are so very grateful for the community they have built and the trust and kindness theyโ€™ve shown us .

Weโ€™ve had the privilege of meeting so many lovely people and are excited to meet more. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly into a space we all love and care for.

On Monday 4 March, we are lucky to have the founder of Stymie come and present a 40-minute session to students in their year level groups. These sessions cover how to make a Stymie notification as well as the impact that issues such as bullying can have on other people.

To supplement the presentation to students, we are inviting all Parents/Caregivers to attend a presentation between 5.30 to 7.00pm held in the HSSC Performing Arts Centre (please park in the Polzin Road carpark). It is important to note that this presentation is for adults only and is not suitable for children to attend.
