Absinthesalon // Fitzroy (CLOSED)
In all our lockdown throwbacks we've shared bars that are still with us, but in honour of those who can't open right now we've decided to celebrate a unique one that we really loved and that permanently closed a little while ago. When we filmed here it was called Absinthesalon and then became Absinthia, a place to hide away off busy Brunswick St and indulge in the Green Fairy. Run by Vince and Bex who moved to Melbourne to open the bar based on their love of Absinthe, it was a special little place that we will never forget.

Jane Doe // Prahran
Another month, another lockdown here in Melbourne with so many of our best and favourite bars closed yet again. That being said it is World Tequila Day and so here's a little throwback to a shoot we did at a cozy little bar on Chapel St in Prahran called Jane Doe together with Tequila Tromba / Tequila Tromba Australia.

As Good Beer Week comes to a close and GABS Festival begins, we thought we'd throw back to this little feature we produced a few years back with Feral Brewing Company for a tap takeover at Foresters in Collingwood.

Hopscotch // Southbank
Beautiful warm weather like this takes us back to Hopscotch Melbourne down by the Yarra at Southbank. With 36 beers on tap that constantly rotate and lots of eats to soak up the booze, it's the perfect place to sit after work on a Friday or any night for that matter and watch the world go by.
Radio Mexico // St Kilda
Melbourne is back open, just in time for some hot summer weather and also for National Margarita Day this coming Monday 22nd. I just so happens that Radio Mexico in St Kilda does 2 for 1 Margarita Mondays anyway, so best you head bayside and kick your week off with some icy cold bevvies and a round or two of tacos.

Botanical Hotel // South Yarra
Weekends like this bring back memories of lazy days at the Botanical Gardens and drinks across at Botanical Hotel South Yarra. It's been a while since we filmed this but it's still a great place to hang out for lunch or dinner at the brasserie with a winestore and grocer now on site offering wine, beer, spirits, groceries, take home meals and coffee. Oh and if you're looking for the delicious gin featured in our video, it's now called Garden Grown Gin and available from Grown Spirits.

The Rum Diary // Fitzroy
Another one of our favourites, the guys at The Rum Diary Bar jumped on board with us right from the start, wanting to share their love of everything rum. Since we filmed this venue nearly five years ago drinkers have embraced the spirit in all it's glory with one of The Rum Diary's old venue managers moving on to co-found the first rum festival in Melbourne last year, with the second I Hart Rum Festival 2020 scheduled for October. Hopefully we will all be back together drinking rum, but until then you can enjoy this little feature which celebrates where it all began.
Gin Palace // Melbourne
It'll be a while before we're able to return to our favourite bars, so we've decided to reminisce, back to a time when we could all be together and begin sharing our videos starting from where we first began five years ago at Gin Palace. Itās a fitting place to start as this week Melbourne's hospitality industry farewelled the venueās founder Vernon Chalker who was only 55 years old. He was a pioneer and a larrikin and we remember the first time we met him and his cheeky, boyish grin. This is a man who did things his way, ahead of his time, opening up what was this city's quintessential laneway and basement bar before moving on to lead our rooftop bar craze when he opened saucy Madame Brussels and then the sophisticated Collins Quarter. Think about how much we love gin now, with distilleries popping up all over the place and even festivals to celebrate the stuff, but Vernon brought it to us well before we even knew we wanted it.....and for this we must salute you Vernon and send you off to the big Gin Palace in the sky.....with a martini in hand of course. šø
