WANTED: YOUR CLUB NEWS!

What is happening at your golf club?
Inside Golf would love to know.

As Australia’s most-read golfing publication, Inside Golf is always on the lookout for interesting news items that will help promote the game of golf to a wider audience.
If you would like to see your golf club mentioned in the magazine, feel free to contact us. The good news is it won’t cost anything if it appears in our Club News section.
IDEAS: You may have a new staff member or club pro you want to tell readers about.
Other ideas: Committee changes; renovations to the golf course or clubhouse; unusual incidents or extraordinary scores; aces and albatrosses; age breakers; a club member that is an extraordinary volunteer; junior and women’s news; club results; upcoming events and functions; grants received; pro-ams and even funny incidents, etc. Don’t forget to send us a photo too!

They say no news is good news, but for golf clubs that don’t promote their own golf club is, well, bad news.
Who knows, your club may attract new members and more golfers will want to turn up for a social round?

Send your news to [email protected] and he’ll do the rest.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year everyone.
From our editorial team at Inside Golf - David Newbery (Editor), Michael Court (NSW Journalist), Michael Davis (VIC Journalist), Peter Owen (QLD Journalist), Larry Canning (Contributor)

It appears that public access courses around the country are under threat from the anti-golf lobby.
Inside Golf correspondent Michael Davis highlights a number of cases where councils want to shut down golf courses and turn them into parkland.
This has already happened at one Brisbane course while many in New South Wales and Victoria are in the firing line.
Let us know if your club/course is being targeted.

By Michael Davis WE have no desire to be overly combative here. But in our view the same cannot be said for those who want to shut down the Northcote public golf course and turn it into parkland. Clearly not happy with the compromise reached recently, with the course being reduced from 12 to nine

New Flinders general manager John McKay was on the first tee at the picturesque Mornington Peninsula club weeks before he officially started in the role.

So before he even started work, the members knew him and liked what they saw.
“I am definitely a people person and think it’s important to be very visible when you are in this position,” John told Inside Golf.
