Being self employed and having a family can have its challenges. One of the major factors for me is managing my time. I have been using Simply Invoice Me since the start of 2017 and couldn't be happier.
Being your average kinda guy my computer skills are not amazing. For 4 years i was using programmes like Microsoft Word and Excel for all my quoting and invoicing. Most of you will know how slow this can be, copy this, paste that, save as, etc. I would need to cross reference many files to know clients details, next invoice number, next quote number, the list goes on. It really adds so much time to a week. On average i was spending over 6 hours a week on the computer. Over a year this is approx 300 hours. That is almost 38 days (on an 8 hour day).
Since using Simply Invoice Me my work and personnel life has become so much simpler (excuse the pun). I can use the programme on my phone and on my laptop. You are best off going to their page/website to see the full benefits, but i will say a few key things that have made the running of my small business so much easier.
I can provide a quote directly to the client before leaving the site. I can invoice a job at the click of a button. It automatically loads the next invoice number. It provides clients with numerous options for payment. There is a time tracker option which is great, It tracks my quotes and invoices so i can see when they are viewed. I can see when clients have paid. It sends automatic reminders if payment is over due. I can see on my dashboard what i am owed, what i have received and what i have quoted (no confusion, no calculators and no excuses).
For those of you that know me, you will know that i do not use social media to its fullest and rarely post anything. This is super important and will change your life, honestly.
Ofcourse there are other options out there, but i never signed up due to a few reasons. What i can tell you is Simply Invoice Me is $10 a month, yes $10 a month. No limit on client numbers and created by people that actually care and want to make your life easier.
