Sad news. Beloved Far North Queensland crocodile, Cassius, has died, aged 121.
At 5.48 metres long, Cassius held the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest crocodile in captivity. A king among crocs. 🐊

Bear the 'unwanted' kelpie blitzes national working dog challenge
A kelpie that cost a farmer $200 has blitzed a national working dog challenge by running almost the distance of Brisbane to Rockhampton in two weeks.
Six-year-old kelpie, Bear, and his owner, Tom Perkins, from Dirranbandi in Queensland, have won a gruelling 14-day working dog competition which saw seven of Australia’s top-class dogs go head-to-head.

Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Shane Kennedy told 612 ABC Brisbane the phenomena is uncommon, but not dangerous.
“It's not a proper tornado, should've been much weaker and unlikely to cause much damage, but certainly a fairly rare thing to see.”
