🌪️ A water spout has formed in the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point as severe storms lashed parts of Southeast Queensland this afternoon.

Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Shane Kennedy told 612 ABC Brisbane the phenomena is uncommon, but not dangerous.

“It's not a proper tornado, should've been much weaker and unlikely to cause much damage, but certainly a fairly rare thing to see.”
